COLD STEEL AD10. Drop. &. Tanto blade!! 2 Beauties

I’ve been meaning to talk about these for some time!! I absolutely love these two. These are top 4 knives in my growing collection. S35VN steel and Ergos like nobody’s business! These are MUST HAVES IN YOUR COLLECTION

Thank you for Commenting!! I totally Agree that these are knives that every knife lover should own.. These are what started me on the trajectory toward getting into more pricey knives... I never thought I'd have a Medford, and now I have 5... so go with wjhat you like.. If you ever have questions let me know... Id reccomend looking at Arizona Custom Knives if you dont already know of them.. they have the greatest diversity..

If you go to Blade HQ they have different colors of the AD10's Also ceck out the AD15's Similar blade very different Lock System called Scorpion

@wcreview8227 I've seen them. I already have both, but if they release another with upgraded steel, I'll pick it up. I'm pretty new to the knife game, myself. I have (2) Ad10's (drop point and tanto), Spyderco Para 2 and 3, American Lawman, Civivi Elementum 2, and a Benchmade Super Freek. The AD10's so far are my favorites, even more so than the more expensive knives. I'll also look into Arizona Custom for my next buy. Well, the one after my next because the We Praxis is only available in one place 😀 I subbed to your channel. Looking forward to your vids.

It depends on the company too . Some companies have bad quality control, cold steel always seem to heat their blades right. So the 8cr etc seem to come out better than the other companies

A very good Point! I have learned tat the Heat treat is a very critical part of the blades performance , and I agree that Cold Steel has got it down.. I like TOPS very much, Medford, and sooo many others

@@wcreview8227 If you can start your shorts with instant flip opens it might help. Some folks scrolling the shorts keep scrolling if they don’t get instant looks. At least that’s what I’ve noticed the super successful guys and gals doing.

Great knife. I'm partial to Cold Steel Voyager clip point. I love the griv ex with the crosses. And the Aus 10 cuts through anything.

I too am Partial to Cold Steel but you like the Griv ex huh? I dont Hate it but I like the G10 and Ti Scales better.. Check out the SR1 Lite in Drop point and Tanto.. for $60 a pop they are awesome.. and Joe X couldnt destroy them!!

the AD10 tanto almost arrived - still in transit - you described the handle so well - i had to have - its a beautiful knife and will be added to the EDC rotation - this my second time watching your review - thanks for the comparison

I love my AD-10 but I had to get rid of that clip. I put a custom deep carry clip on it, and it carries so much better. The knfie itself though, is a tank. It's also very comfortable in the hand. I love the damn thing.

Awesome.. Many folks dont really dig the clip.. Truth ... it doesnt bother me BUT>> Check this out, if you dont already know.. there is a guy who has a site called Knathans Knives and he tricks out knives for people.. he is very talented and has a couple of AD10's that he shows how he does it.. he gets crazy G-10 and Fat Carbon and makes the scales... I reccomend you check it out!! I am going to have him trick out my AD10 Tanto

Funny I was just handling the AD10 Tanto.. its a really Great Knife.. a Must have.. and def go for the S35VN .. DLT Trading has them in stcok for $149.. good price... Blade HQ has diff blade types for the ad10's also.. Thank you for commenting!!

Just picked up an ad10 with a black coated blade and dark earth g10. In my opinion it’s the best looking version. I too have no real need for super steels but collect them anyways.

Im with you 100% I happen to like Black blade Black handle best but thats whats greeat is the options.. THEN.... you can get intoi Modding it.. I am as we speak modding my AD15 .. Check out OG GOAT they make aftermarket Scales for the AD15 .. I asked about the 10... Knathans Knives if you ever wanna mess w the scales... best of luck .. enjoy your knife.. I too go for the premium steel .. just because

@@cassanoa Really you think its a tank? I find it highly carryable.. I have a Halfbreed LBF-01 which I LOVE LOVE LOIVE, but THATS what I call a tank.. I also have a Hoback Husky and just bought another one incase they ever become unavailable.. The Hoback Husky is my Fave so far.. But its all what you like.. I have both SR1 lights the Tanto and drop point.. they are great.. Big but Great.. I also just got the SOG SEAL XR.. Diggin that also.. What is your favorite knife?

@@wcreview8227 that’s an interest question - The knife I always grab is a medium Luzon - I find it most useful for everyday - but I have a very wide interest in large and small knives - I buy knives based on their deployment task - outdoor woods knives - large army knives - machetes - and lately pocket knives from cold steel to Swiss Army knives - axes from condor - sog pentagon elite drop point - my knives are chosen for strength and are all task oriented except the edc which is the cold steel tuff lite or the medium Luzon both of which I use for light duty this and that - I like the triad lock - I also have a great carving knife and wood chisel collection - I could go on and on - I love edged tools and weapons - my latest buy is a small cold steel shovel that I am anxious to customize - I just have to many knives to choose from but the medium Luzon is what I choose more than not and if I like a knife I will buy a extra in case it goes down - like you - I really like knives

I will look up the HRC for you, as far as which is better for Daily use, that is really up to you. However since you asked, I woud say the drop point in my opinion. the Tanto is extremelyt sharp, but limited in its slicing and piercing abilities compared to the drop.. they are both awesome though and I reccmmend getting both and swapping them out!! LOL the HRC is 59-60 on both and should not be a factor for you.

the Blade Material on both is S35VN on the premium models so the HRC will be the same..

Yes The Demko Tri Ad .. Many people are not fond of liners but then there are Frame locks as well,, for me it depends on the knife.. thanks for watching

The LPC is a great knife!! I have it and the DMF as well.. Big Sniper Bladeworks fan!! the DMF is a little clunky but I love fat knives.. The LPC is tight AND... there are great Variants of it out as we speak... they have PVD coated blades and different handle colors etc... I just have the plain Jane model but may grab a diff color or Blade type.. BTW... I JUST grabbed a Black PVD coated AD10 !!! Ill have it Tuesday!!
