Lookin forward to the test! I'd still like to modify mine like how Blackie Thomas does his machetes/kukris for a more versatile camp/bushcraft blade. I did wrap my handle with a few ranger bands to make a palm swell.

I like the palm swell idea!

Check out colhane Dave McIntyre for machete mods. Our house has 2 wood stoves and both of them have a Tramontina 14” bolo. Both machetes have a 4” Scandi close to the handle. These are for processing kindling for lighting and restarting fires. Dave McIntyre mods are truly amazing.

Hey buddy thanks for the new video! I've been watching some of your old videos while I waited for you to get back to machete monday/Fridays. Gonna pick up some tramontinas soon and i think I'm gonna throw a 24inch into the cart in honor of yourself and surveyors everywhere.

It’s my pleasure and thank YOU for being here! You won’t be disappointed with the 24”. It’s been my favorite for years now and I still haven’t found a replacement. 😂

Ive been looking at the machete for a while now,but the handle seemed a little screwy to me. Just cant make up my mind on it. Looking forward to your opinion on its performance. Hope theres a machete monday, its been a shitty week here(middle of nowhere okla) cause of non-stop rain.

@@aprilnichols2806 i actually have a couple. They’re the blades my company issued for many years. I think they’re good quality blades and I have seen guys do a lot of work with them. One of my good friends swears by them and he’s been in land surveying for over 20 years now. He says he’s never use anything else. For me, the handle is too boxy and the blade it too ridged. I like a more flexible blade and more ergonomic grip. I can’t knock ‘‘em though!!! I think I’ll do a review!!!
