Bob Ross would enjoy your videos. And now we have. A happy little edge. And he's alone. Lets give him a happy friend on the other side... Slide with the file. Just let the file slide... Sounds almost like a Southern accent. You have there... But yes. Thank you for sharing your info. On files and everything.

Looks like a field of work that I'm interested in.... I've allways pondered about land surveyors and what they do.... Most importantly. Thank you for sharing your TRADE And thanks for talking about the 20 $ Cammilus... I have one and she's not bad for the price... And I've yet to find the need to use the fishing spear... And I have the Inject. Which is, I guess version 2.0 But yeah man. I , dig, your job. Learn about the soil and plant life in order to identify the soil type.. I DIG that Bro.... Again. Thank you for sharing . Some get it and some don't. But I find it . Peaceful. Close to nature..... Bugs included . Ha ha

I’ve owned three of these things. The first one held up really good. They must’ve had a lot harder metal alloy in it. The handle finally came off. I went and bought two more and within five minutes of chopping branches with them both the blades were all bent up on the beveled edges, like roller coasters! The alloy was butter soft in them. I used my grinder to make new edges in them. I’m sure they’ll last another 5 minutes of chopping.

The 12" makes a good shoulder ryder machete knife. for boat or shore fishing - lops off heads and fins like a champ, fillets nicely, If you 90 degree your spine well it makes for a really good scaler. slices thru vines, and snags. my handle got loose so I wrapped a bunch of wet jute twine on the handle - let it dry, flamed it, then epoxied it and sanded. Now its perfect!

Hello - It’s Cowboy from over KTV Knife Television again . I had to revisit this awesome and very helpful video again . Ok - I need tools . Doing this by hand kind of sucks . So I just purchased a couple clamps off Amazon. Next I need to know how to secure properly. I don’t have a “ real “ work bench so I will just be using my outdoor table . ( it’s a sturdy old wooden beat up table that I post all my knife review videos on ). I’m trying to figure out how you have that one piece of wood secured to your work bench ( the one with the lamp on top ). Is that nailed on there ???? Or is the weight of the lamp securing it ?? Because I’m definitely going to need to do something like this . Like yours - I want to have the machete Away from the table . Ok hope all is well with you and yours . Happy New Year 🎆🎊🎈

The 28” is perfect i just ordered this machete yesterday. I own several others from various makers. As someone that uses these tools regularly, I can second the reach of this machete when dealing with briars. Im 6’3” 260 and one swing i can take down 2.5”-3” pine saplings cleanly.

I have a gerber machete I bought about 13 years ago and it didn’t do that. However I recently bought a gerber machete to have a second one and it’s definitely thinner than the older one. It bent by just chopping small branches.

5 minutes 40 seconds in and already VERY good advice on lanyards. I use a lanyard but only put the thing on if I'm cutting something over water or somewhere that if I drop the tool, I'll loose it... like it sinks to the bottom of the river. Even then it's careful. Seen a machete bite someone that way once and don't want any part of that, especially how fast it happens. Good advice, Sir!

Good video! Appreciate your take and showing it in use. I enjoy my golok. I put a scandi grind on it closer to the hilt for a few inches, and more of a convex down the rest. Turned it into a "one tool" option for me if I so desire.

Recommendation- after sharpening your machete test it by cutting something reasonable. The paper is more for testing a knifes edge.

I just bought one of these at the flea market for $6. It's brand new with a Scabbard but very dull. But for 6 bucks I'll just sharpen it and be happy with it.

I prefer the machete with the molded d ring handle. The knuckle gaurd keeps it in hand and there’s no rivets or weak spots to loosen up. I prefer the heavy machetes, because I use them differently than most and my swinging technique is different . The handle can always be sanded down or replaced, if it’s too slick, deck tape works great , and I have forearms like Popeye 🙃
