Thanks for taking the time to do a serious review of this budget knife. I wanted something I could leave in the car or truck that was usable, and more or less expendable. Looks like this will fit the bill.

I bought the San Mai version and wanted a spare but was hard pressed to spend that much again for a back up. Thanks for this review, it helped me decide that the Lite version will work great as a back up to the San Mai. All the best.

I have both the Lite and San MaiIII versions, love them both though I have to say the San MaiIII is my favorite.

I have the polymer sheath with mine, and I cut the belt loop off, and made a thumb ramp, and it's much better now. Especially, since I will never wear it on my belt!!! It'll go in a coat sleeve or deep pocket, or even my pack.

Wanted a quality budget hunting/fishing knife for a while, just got one for $65 NZD don't tell the missus, the new plastic sheath is an improvement, along the lines of a mora sheath. i'm really impressed with the knife & sheath overall

This is one of the sharpest knives I own!!! It'll do one pass smooth shaves, but what's crazy is it does it with absolutely zero drag, even though my arm hair is course and wirey!!! Didn't feel any drag on the blade or arm!!! Scarry sharp, could cut myself without realizing it quite easily!!!

Hi,there is tanto version,I think it will be better.I have Pendleton lite hunter the steel it's ok,holds edge,and it is nice to work with.But I alwais go back to my Mora 2000,everibody needs one.Cheers

The sheath was fair. Now they've made it horrible. Great knife, though. It's so inexpensive there's no reason to sell it. Keep it.

The sheath can be easily modified to male it much better!!!
