In my experience there they complain if the temperature isn't above 25C lol. My last trip I left the midwest when it was -10C and arrived in Mindanao when it was 30C. I set my hotel aircon to 22C. It was too cold for my filipino half of my family when they came to pick me up there.

I live in Baguio and I cringe when other Filipinos get excited when it hits 20°C, meanwhile our maximum midday temperature is 19°C

Always summer here. Average humidity is 82%. 78 degrees F at night and 90-95 degrees F day time is not cold.

I'm not that far south of Baguio, only 1.5 hours (80 km), in Angeles City/San Fernando area, and we're not experiencing any change in our normal 27/30C everyday weather. 🤔 Coming from the Intermountain Western U.S., I'd welcome some cooler weather here!

Glad you mentioned the effect of the jat stream Rob. Was watching this week's' deep dive program'of the UK met office recently. It was mentioned that parts of the Jet stream over the Atlantic were well over 200 mph. Resulting in record breaking winds in the north west of the north of the UK. Thousands without power( not nice in the northern winter)!. Thank God I live now in Pangasinan! Lol

For YEARS every time I would hear someone say something like, "That was so good...", all I could think about is the humorous correlation of that American English phrase, and the city my wife of now 33 years is from (Sogod). I don't know the more than thousands of times over the decades, that people just randomly say "so good" when describing something positive. ...and lastly, I have no clue where you are from.

Always hot here in Cebu. Rain or shine, always humid. Worse no water supply everyday Metro Cebu Water District is sooooo shameless. Even if it rains for a week there's still no water. How i wish there would be snow in the Philippines. At least i could just melt the snow
