I cried when Steve met the Invoker and as soon as he said 'COLD SNAP' Steve just collapsed under the heat. Poor him couldn't apply cold snap in time.

Imagine if the mod was compatible with seasons. You know, like in summer you could overheat in biomes without many trees around like plains, or in winter you could freeze pretty much anywhere- especially underground in caves, they’re cold!!

Caves don't vary much in temperature I think, since they're quite cut off

@@KarolOfGutovo Yeah, they'll be a consistent (fairly cool) temperature year round practically anywhere. Of course, dig deep enough and Earth's own heat starts to make itself felt!

I REALLY love the idea of the minecart with insulation. It gives minecarts a great new reason to be used, as you can travel across long distances and be protected the whole way.

I really like this take on temperature mechanics in minecraft as it actually adds some depth to the game rather than making things annoying. There’s a brand new crop, new armor, new tools, fantastic looking new blocks and even a workstation. It’s the most interesting temperature mod I’ve seen!

Have been playing with this one for around a year, works really good with other survival mods like serene seasons, which changes temperature depending on current season, dimension mods also have a pre-set temperature that works with this. For example Everbright from Blue Skies mod is extremely cold while The Bumblezone is a hot place since it's the inside of a beehive. It makes long journeys much harder which subsequently makes them feel more meaningful. Also all the items we use just to create cosy atmosphere are now actually functional which builds immersion.

I really enjoyed this - it seems like a mod that expands on survival mode in an interesting way. It would be really cool to see it further fleshed out!

But Fahrenheit is used. In the temperature meter next to the hotbar it said 78 and that seemed to be considered baseline temperature. And -50 was used which is extremely cold regardless of what temperature unit you’re using. 50 appears to be used as the player temperature for being too hot and -50 for too cold, so I think it’s just a fake temperature used specifically for the player body temperature so people who aren’t familiar with each temperature can understand without having to understand each temperature unit

@@Yegor_Mechanicno it isn’t. Last I checked, 78F isn’t 0C. 2:20 time stamp for that part. Also, it doesn’t say -50 when cold, it just says 50 in blue. It’s definitely just a generic temperature unit to display when you’re too cold or too hot

Mods like this usually kill the point of living in hot or cold biomes.

In this case, it just delays you being able to set up in one. Once you get far enough, you can live in any climate with no issue.

También cuando estas minando muy abajo empiezas a calentarte y si terminas cerca de un charco de lava va a ser problemático. Es un mod muy incómodo y por eso es genial, le agrega mucha dificultad al juego, cosas sencillas se vuelven insufribles.
