Cold Winter River Bank Fishing

All we use is crappie Magnet Jigs and trout magnet jigs... Tipped with minnows or 1 inch gulp minnows. .... We haven't used anything else in many years. 💪😎

Maybe it's just me, but I think trout magnets are one of the best soft plastics to fish with. I've caught nearly everything on them. Bass love the Chartreuse color!

They really do catch everything . Just nothing of size . I like to go out to a local small creek and micro fish with them when I’m in the mood .

Trout Magnet is just easy fishing when I’m feeling lazy. Caught really nice red eyes, smallmouth, striper, trout, etc over the years. Nothing massive but really solid creek fish. That lure really shines when you learn how and where to use it….and which colors! White, Buffalo and hot pink.

Back when I was a teen , my brother and I were fishing on a golf course this time of year . We were using Mr Twister chartreuse and a pin bobber . I caught a 17" white crappie and he caught a 19" white crappie . Fun days , but it was COLD !!

John, thanks for bringing this fun right to our armchairs. This episode is obviously bigger water, but would you tell us an estimate of the width and depth of the creeks you fish in those episodes where you fish creeks and ditches? Also, for a while you told us information about the rig you were fishing. I’d appreciate knowing the length, action, and power of the rod, and the size and spooling of the reel, as well as the lure. (Not the brand unless you get some compensation) You have a wealth of experience and I’d love to know your choices for the situation.

i suggest this - a trip to FL where you find a few fish and then start chumming - try 2 or 3 types of chum and enjoy a particular type of feeding frenzy, heck even try it in river. you may do best by trying to cast net all your bait and chum - you need one of the bigger castnets, go to a field and document your progress - get a small/med and huge one just for fun, don't go overboard. build or buy and mod a jon boat this winter - to add to the collection. do some florida giant bass fishing with golden shiners - you could get a pb
