The best description we have of the Holy Ghost is by the Lord Himself in John 14:23, and the 'we' and 'our' rules out the separate (from the Father and the Son) 'third person' of the Trinity doctrine.

We see the Trinity in action in a working way at the Baptism of Jesus (the Father spoke, the Spirit descended as a dove, and Jesus was Baptised) and then in Ephesians the Church is "The Fathers family", "the Spirits dwelling place" and "Christ's body".

@@JosephSmith-ph4xr The Family Name we are Baptised into (or named for) is "The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit (Matthew 28 v 19). Each of these persons of the Trinity have the same attributes in Scripture of that Eternal Essence which is God-ness or Diety. The Bible and Salvation does not even make sense unless God takes the accomplishment of it upon Himself, The Father laying upon the Son the sins of those who will be made alive by the Holy Spirit.

i'm glad you mentioned the athanasian creed because that is the definition of the trinity. the trinity is obscured because the name of God has been omitted for the longest time, YHVH. that is why we are baptized in The Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. zev porat when he engages israelis in proclaiming the gospel and speaks in the hebrew makes the trinity so much clearer. check him out. the Holy Spirit is mentioned more often and is clearer in the the old testament, such as the first chapter and verse of genesis. the best theophany is when the trinity met abraham, and abraham welcomed YHVH. and when YHVH went to sodom and called fire from YHVH in heaven. also, notice the priests at the crucifixion complained to pilate to change the titulus crucis because the hebrew above the cross spelled out YHVH. best of all, who comes down from heaven to dwell in the temple? the Holy Spirit

To me the Trinity is not a hard concept to grasp. It’s very clear in both the Old and New Testaments that this multi dimensional aspect of God is present. Furthermore, with our knowledge of quantum mechanics things in the grand scheme of nature and reality points unequivocally to a very complex nature to God that goes way beyond our understanding!

Do the Father and the Son love the Holy Spirit? Where are we told to worship all three? I appreciate your willingness to address this. However, as a former Trinitarian minister, although the deity of Jesus can be defended, the Bible is clearly missing a revelation of threefold divine relationships. I am a Biblical Binitarian.

God is not "Triune." He is One. That One God manifested Himself in the flesh as Jesus Christ. The Trinity is not organic to Christianity; it was slowly developed over three hundred years and finalized at the Council of Constantinople in AD 380. Neither Jesus Christ Himself nor a single Apostle ever preached or proclaimed a Triune God; the first Christians were all Jews, and they all had had Deuteronomy 6:4 pounded into their heads since birth. God proclaimed Himself as One throughout the Bible, and His Oneness is revealed by the Holy Ghost; the Trinity was the invention of Greco-Roman philosophy. One point that Mr. Wallace mentions that needs dwelling on: the word "Trinity" does not appear in the Bible, neither indeed does the word "Incarnation." I would also point out that the word "Rapture" is not in the Bible either. However, we know about the Incarnation because the Gospels record it and writers of the Epistles exposit the doctrine of the Incarnation in great detail. Same with the Rapture; Paul describes the Rapture minutely in 1 Thess 4:13-18. But nowhere in the Bible is the Trinity exposited as it is commonly taught today--nowhere in Scripture is it written that God is one God in three People, co-eternal, consubstantial, and co-equal; separate, and yet all three One God. What the Bible *does* teach is that God is One, that Jesus is that God, and that in Christ resides all the fullness of the Godhead bodily (Col 2:9). Finally, in attempting to prove a Trinity, one must dig out disjointed clues from the Scriptures, such as over-emphasizing the plural of deliberation that God uses in Genesis 1:26 (Let us make man in our own image...) and 11:7 ("Go to, let us go down and there confound their language...") the Son of Man being seen as separate from the Ancient of Days in Daniel 7:9 and 7:13, and ignoring the hundreds of Scriptures in which God proclaims Himself to be totally, unambiguously, and without controversy One God; as well as the numerous times Jesus testifies that He is that God, and the fact that Isaiah, Ezekiel, and John only ever report seeing One God on the Throne in Heaven--no Jehovah, Jr. or Third Person in the Godhead anywhere to be seen. The Trinity is a false doctrine, unrevealed by the Holy Ghost but devised only by the cunning of men, set far enough back into the past that many today confuse antiquity with authenticity.

Jesus Christ is clearly God as revealed in the New Testament and even the Old Testament Only God is eternal Messiah was revealed as eternal in Micah 5:2 The Father was revealed as eternal in Daniel as the Ancient of Days Thomas was a monotheistic Hebrew who referred to Jesus as my LORD AND MY GOD. at Jesus’ baptism the Father spoke Jesus was baptized and the Spirit descended as a dove. The great commission we are to baptize in the NAME of the Father the Son and Holy Spirit. not names. The Holy Spirit is called eternal in Hebrews 9:14 So the Bible Genesis to Revelation clearly reveals the Father is eternal Jesus revealed Himself as the I AM all through John. 8:24, 8:58 The Father referred to The Son as God Hebrews 1:8 and Jesus called Himself THE ALMIGHTY Revelation 1:8 Paul said God was manifested in the flesh 1Timothy 3:16 John 1:1 Jesus is God but He somehow was with God. Genesis God said let US make man in OUR image…..so God made man in HIS image Us and our are plural yet they equal HIS…..singular Zechariah 12:10 They shall look upon ME whom they have pierced and they will mourn for HIM….. why not ME again Nobody talks like that Me=Him Nobody could make this up Jesus was clearly God In fact He said if you don’t believe that you’ll die in your sins. Yet He prayed to the Father and the Spirit is eternal according Hebrews 9:14 Only God is eternal yet we see in using proper hermeneutics that the Father Son and Spirit are all eternal yet God is ONE. No sinful human would have made this up. It’s inconceivable. Also the devil has always wanted to be God that’s why he got evicted from his first estate. He always counterfeits what God does to author confusion. Look at the end times…..anti Christ Beast and false prophet. But he can’t duplicate God so they’re separate He can’t duplicate WHO God is but he tries and uses it to deceive the world as the unholy trinity but it’s not a true triunity.

We are made in the image of God, and we too are triune beings. We have a body (Jesus is the body God uses), a soul (the Holy Spirit) and a mind (God the father). So, you can see how we human beings are three in one as God is three in one. 😀 Human beings can be brain dead, but still alive. Or physically dead, but the soul still resident and return to life. Been there done that. But once the soul leaves the body, without a miracle, the person is gone, dead. We are truly like our Heavenly Father, get over it!

We are triune beings, being made in Gods image We are body, soul and spirit The Father is the equivalent of the soul, telling the body what to do Jesus Is the equivalent of the body, only doing the Father wills The Holy Spirit is the link between the jesus and The Father, and our link to God One God 3 distinct parts We are one person with 3 distinct parts Blessings

To understand the Trinity, you must first understand God the Father. According to the Bible, God the Father is formless and is not the old man often depicted in art. John 4:24 clearly states, “God is spirit,” meaning He has no physical form (John 1:18; 1 Timothy 1:17). In the Old Testament, God revealed Himself through various appearances-such as in human form to Abraham, Joshua, Jacob, and Moses in the burning bush. These were temporary manifestations, not His true divine form. The visions of God on His throne, seen by Ezekiel and John, are symbolic. They use vivid imagery to convey God’s majesty and authority but do not depict His true, formless nature. These visions are understood as a theophany, a visible manifestation of God to a human. As John 1:18 reaffirms God’s formlessness. And as stated in Exodus 33:20, God says no one can see Him and live. To better understand the Trinity, consider a human being composed of body, soul, and spirit, yet still one person or being. Similarly, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are distinct components but united as one God. Each being of the Trinity has a unique role, yet they are one in essence. Just as the human body is the physical manifestation of a person, Jesus Christ, the Son, is the incarnation of God, taking on a physical form. The soul, which encompasses intellect, will, and emotions, is analogous to God the Father, who is the source of will and purpose. The spirit, connecting a person to the divine, is like the Holy Spirit, representing God's immediate and active presence within believers. For instance, John 1:1-14 states, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us.” This illustrates that while God’s divinity is formless, His manifestations, such as the incarnation of Jesus, take on a physical form. Even Jesus’s claim to have seen Abraham and His interaction with Moses and Elijah during the Transfiguration further confirm His transcendent nature.

If Jesus is the WORD John 1 :1, who is the God he is with ?
@johnirish9896 ай бұрын
There is one MOST High, one SUPREME. In the beginning. The Father has no beginning. Only Him. The Son has a God to pray to. God the Father does not. In all his salutations in all his epistles not once does Paul mention the holy spirit. Gee Paul, how disrespectful. The one time it IS mentioned at the end of 2 Corinthians it's merely the COMMUNION of the holy spirit. Luke 1:35 gives us a definition of the Holy spirit: the power of the Most High. God did not suffer from impotence. He did not need the assistance of some third person in order to impregnate Mary. Jesus does not have two Fathers. God is spirit. He is not a person. He speaks in Fist Spirit Singular Pronoun. We are made in His image. He gives us some of His spirit. Is your spirit a separate and distinct person? Of course not. Stop the silliness.

Messiah is CLEARLY revealed as God in the flesh in Isaiah 40-50 The Father referred to the Son as God in Hebrews 1:8 and Jesus called Himself the Almighty in Revelation 1:8 Paul said God was manifested in the flesh 1 Timothy 3:16 There’s way more Zechariah 12:10 They shall look upon Me whom they’ve pierced(the LORD) and mourn for HIM Why not mourn for me? Who talks like that. He’s talking about two different people who are the same, Nobody says “my wife watched me lose in the Olympics and she cried her eyes out for him….🤷🏻♂️ Thomas was a monotheistic Hebrew and called JESUS MY LORD AND MY GOD. At Jesus’ baptism the Father spoke so clearly a different person and the Spirit descended like a dove…. The trinity is not taught in the Bible. It comes from ancient Mesopotamia-Semiramis-Nimrod-Tammuz which became the foundation for the Babylonian Mystery Religion. Egyptian, Greek and other ancient cultures all had a form of it. The first chapter of the Gospel of John describes the Godhead in full harmony with Genesis 1, all John and Paul’s epistles, Revelation etc.
