How rude of them to do this when a band is performing right in front of you. It’s a shame half of the Coldplay audience don’t even know songs from this era. We can see as when Poltik is performed hardly anyone knows the song and the audience is quiet. Same with this video.

Let's face it, people; there's Coldplay and "Oldplay" (first 4 records). Up to (and including) Viva La Vida, their records were far from being blatantly commercial, but Mylo Xyloto set a whole different tone and the band changed their sound (and audience too). I was lucky enough to score tickets for all the four nights in Milan in 2023, and the last one was, setlist-wise, the best thanks to Politik and God Put A Smile (..) being played in full-band mode. But I was one of the very few appreciating those special gifts. In a 60K+ capacity place, many will be casual attendees, others will be "fans" of the light stuff the band keeps releasing since 2011, and very few will be die-hard fans who will enjoy stuff like Don't Panic or Everything's Not Lost. This is life, I guess. I can only be thankful I managed to catch them live a few times before 2011. My personal high-light: Milan 2008, Viva La Vida Tour, superb gig, great set-list, mind-blowing audience, fantastic performance

@@LastViolator yep, they need to increase the set time so they can fit in more old songs but unfortunately this probably won’t happen as the audience doesn’t seem to respond to them so there’s no reason for them to. As majority of the audience clearly likes the new stuff.

Oh my god I am praying that this song becomes a regular on the setlist, I'm definitely buying resale tickets for the Sydney concert and buying a plane ticket to Sydney
