THIS is surely the most underrated pop song of Coldplay. It deserves a LOT of more recognition. Since they began to play more pop-oriented music (2005 - today), this is one of the best pop songs they've ever made. Epic. Fresh. Simple. I thought that 13 years ago when i first heard it, and i'm still thinking it until today.

totally agree. Viva La Vida (and prospekt's march which was an offspring of that) had not a single bad or even mediocre song on it. It's the closest thing we've got to a modern day symphony (it IS a modern day symphony) and the fact that they're known as "that pop band whose lead singer was married to gwyneth paltrow" is infuriating because their musical mark and legacy will carry on for ages.

Quite possibly the greatest music video of all time. It's so emotional that l still get happy tears 🥲 every time I see it. The reason believe it or not is not because of the kids reaction to the band but with the adults. They're filled with disbelief and confusion but also child-like enchantment at what they're seeing. Like when the lady was tilting her head to the side because of her curiosity as to why the stage was getting larger or when the pyrotechnics went off and all the adults for a couple of seconds dropped down on the floor which led to some glass breaking as well, only for the adults to rise up again in amazement which was best exemplified by the reverand looking around. These subtleties in this video were not only brilliant but beautiful as well

I saw this music video by chance many years ago, I barely caught the name of if but I knew it had been coldplay as the marionette band and the heavenly music haunted me like from the corner of my eye, never allowing me to truly remember. I feel like a cat who caught the red dot and it is just as magical as my mind had preserved it. Wonderful piece of art.
