Shot during the two concerts performed on March 22nd and 23rd of 2006 at Air Canada Center in Toronto, Canada. Originally, the video was conceived to become a 'live' DVD.
The release had been planned for October 2006, but on August 25th of the same year, Coldplay.com revealed that the video How We Saw The World Pt.1 was instead conceived to be broadcast during a TV event and it couldn't be put on sale as a DVD.
How We Saw The World Pt.1 was directed by Hamish Hamilton. The production is labeled EMI, Parlophone, Capitol Records and Done And Dusted Association (these are the same producers of the 'Live 2003'). This is the property of the respective owners.

I remember watching this concert on my CRT monitor of my Pentium PC with my In-Ear earphones on max volume which I got with a Samsung phone. One should get as much bass as possible. The year was 2008 - 2009. My eyes used to sparkle when the band and everyone in the audience and my heart sang 'Tears stream down your face' with Chris revolving the light. My heart was more stronger back then and it is more grey now but sometimes when I watch this concert a little sparkle comes back in me. I have always enjoyed the band and have always wanted everyone else to enjoy too. I have so many unreleased concerts and content on Coldplay and I will upload it all. It was! I saw them on this tour twice in two days...the first in Oakland and the second in San Jose. We had "excellent" seats and the shows were utterly life-altering! I will never forget the experience. Unfortunately, absolutely "everything" they'd done up until that point was on par with the Beatles. Unfortunately, after this nothing but downhill for the band. But I still have the memory of this concert...😊

In desperately trying to recall which era I had seen them live, all I could conjure (aside from the incredible energy) was thinking Chris was surely going to fall off his piano stool during Clocks -- an enthralling performance! This video just happened upon my feed. As a Torontonian I had to click, and I'm glad I did. Puzzle solved. I've got a ticket to see them a lifetime later in Auckland in the coming weeks. I love them again now, but revisiting the mad piano man age made me smile. Thank you!

They were arguably the most popular band in the world at this time. Every song was unique, ground-breaking and oh so sweet to hear. They could literally do no wrong...People were beginning to talk of them as the "New Beatles." Then, right after this, it "all ended, " and they could do nothing right. This was coldplay at their very best and i was so very fortunate to have seen not one, but "two" of the shows on tbis 2006 tour. I will "Never" forget the experience I had seeing this show. It was utterly life-changing...

With Beatles it was probably "The Magical Mystery Tour," for Led Zeppelin it was "Physical Graffiti, " for Michael Jackson it was "Thriller." But that doesn't mean that they can't continue to cash in on their fame, and even grow their fan base. Just look at the Rolling Stones. There's no question that this was the absolute peak of creativity for Coldplay. Sure, some of their songs sold millions after this, but none were as good in quality, as virtually every song in this concert.

Best colplay Gig, fell in love with the band when this was aired endlessly on the Tv channel "Iconcert". My mom argue me because I put it in full volume at 11PM when I must go to school next day... Sure Viva la vida was Great and they have some good songs here and there but what they have become now make me sad, what a mess.

THIS is the Coldplay we knew and the music we fell in love with. Their path is just the way the world works - everyone always in a fight for the green ones, so the transformation from something they became famous to begin with - the alternative music, to electronic pop music is what the showbiz and music industry dictated so the result is the biggest music tour in the history of music. So, the cost of losing masterpieces like these to the one time wonder Coldplay songs we listen to all day on the radio is almost $1 billion. Is it worth it?

Overall, I am a new fan of Coldplay. There music has been there in the background, all throughout my life. I remember hearing 'Viva La Vida' countless times when I was younger, as well as 'Clocks' to a lesser extent. But it was mostly at the radio or just playing over speakers etc. I never really listened to them on my own. Until a few months ago when I went through a kind of break up thing in early September, which really dredged up a lot of unresolved trauma from several years ago. Without getting too into the details, 'The Scientist' was the first song I memorized by Coldplay. It was the only song I listened to them for quite a while, I just found it so damn relatable. And when I saw the music video not long ago, it seemed even more like something from a dream. A song almost as old as me, but one that mirrors the roads I've walked since I became a legal adult. Long story short, I don't have years of experience listening to this band. But as a new fan with a lifetime of experience listening to music in general, I can safely say that this is in my opinion one of the tightest live shows ever committed to film. Who cares what people say, Coldplay is amazing. Jealousy and ignorance keep the hateful preoccupied with nonsense. Walk well in the Light of the Universe!

I saw them on this 2006 tour, at the Oakland Arena - where the Warriors played - same arena size as the Toronto show, same number of people at the show, same stage layout, same set list, and the exact same EPIC performance. Our seats were close to the stage we could see and hear everything perfectly! The show was so awesome that I bought tickets for the next night's show in San Jose... I got center stage, floor seats for that show... Both shows were excellent, however, in my opinion, the show at the Oakland Arena was even better than this show in Toronto. - if that's possible... Epic time for me to have discovered and seen this band perform at their peak...

Seems like yesterday when I went to the Arena about a week or so before their concert in Raleigh, NC and bought a single ticket for 75 dollars on the stand up section.
