If you were going through something in life(be it happiness, sadness, peace, love etc) you could find any song of them that would make you feel better. If I find them in another life, they would still be my best.

I don’t have any angry or sad memories when I hear this song. All I feel is nostalgia. When I was younger, I had to fly on a plane every year across states due to my divorced parents. One night for some reason no one was there at the airport to pick me up. I ended up being with airport security as we waited, this song playing the in background of an empty airport as we went to the security office, where Happy Feet was put on to distract me as they contacted my mother. This memory always flees from my memory until one day I randomly hear this song on the radio and it all comes back in a rush, a memory I forgot I even had. Music is truly a wonderful thing... to invoke such emotions and memories, I can’t help but smile, whether sad or not, at the past.

@iburstfox2917 For some reason, everything you just described flashed in my head very cinematically; this sad-ish childhood memory could make for a cool little short video. Especially imagining hearing The Scientist as the background music. "Nobody said it was easy, no one said it would beee sooooo hard..." All while waiting in the security office, for a parent that may, or may not show up. I bet that could hit many people hard. Thank you for sharing your nostalgia! 🙏💔

I was 16 when I started my first rock band in 2002 with my fanfare/marching band mates Stefano, Dario, and Alberto. One day, while hanging out at my getaway home, I got an SMS from my then-girlfriend telling me that Dario’s father had passed away during the night. He had also played in the fanfare with us, attending events like plaque unveilings, memorial days, and carnivals with majorettes. He was the first person I knew directly who had died, and I remember being in shock. At his funeral, some of the fanfare and my band played in his honor. Later, I went to the mall with the band-minus Dario-and this song came on while we sat at a table in the food court. We stared into nothingness for the entire duration of the song, overwhelmed by the weight of everything. Rest in peace, Signor Menin. This song will forever remind me of you.

I lost my wife who was 3 months pregnant in a head on collision when we were hit by a drunk driver. I have restarted my entire life after self destructing for over a decade. I now have a 12 year old son even though his mom and I have separated many years ago, I am still grateful. I never thought I could live again after all the drugs and pain. I am now sober and working full time. This song has been very powerful in my recovery. My son I have now, his name is Jayden Kamerin Sherman. My unborn son would of been Jay Kyle Sherman. Both moms chose the name's. Check out the initials. I believe in miracles is all I'm saying. Never give up hope because love is forever.
