I tend to back out of these type of debates, but this guy is special. I knew once when he spoke on it there would be differing views, but his skill and explanation is outstanding. What’s beef and hit em up caused wounds that lead to the deaths of legends, but created profit for people that didn’t care about the artists or the culture.
@TheInvertedFollicle50727 күн бұрын
That's fr a great point. Many aspects of the music industry don't care about the struggle of artists, black and otherwise but are happy to exploit them for every penny they have then toss them aside when they're no longer wanted. It also speaks of the tragic element of hip hop with its historical links to gangster culture and murder but often don't get appreciated until someone loses their life for a pointless creed.

Every rapper getting a breakdown from Knox should tip their hat 🫡 Like he always says - certified 👌🏼 Edit: just asking out of interest - how much do y’all think lyrical Rappers like Cole, Em, Kendrick etc. profit from a Knox breakdown. Seriously, I‘m from germany and listen even more to lyrical Rap just because of Knox 🤷🏽♂️

@DerLandschaftsbauer23 күн бұрын
@@vomz9376 ok, let‘s say it‘s like that - but doesn‘t get the song even more attention and streams like that? Every time one of them drops a song, I go and listen to it with my headphones. I try to catch as much as possible, but, at least for me, it‘s to much. Then I go watch the reaction, enjoy it, often more than once, and then go back to just the song, enjoying it even more. Beside that, talk about it with friends, that will, afterwards, also go check it out. Either way, these artists profit frfr but don‘t get me wrong, it‘s not like I think, they owe Knox big time or something like that. He can react because of their work, but he 100% amplifies the traffic and success 🤙🏼

Kendrick highlighted many of the teachings of The Bhagavad Gita in 616 in LA with expressing his moral dilemma of knowing his dharma is to fight and defend his family and legacy but also recognizing the negative karmic implications he’s sowing by going to war. Something his soul is still clearly wrestling with in Watch the Party Die. LaCrae sharing his two cents about what Christ would have done/has done. Brilliant song by J Cole! Pure poetry. 🔥. Love the bar “I learned long ago, you can’t please ‘em all, and it hurts trying”. Great vocal sample and the Dead Presidents piano sample. Great work Knox Hill breaking down the song - salute dude! 🫡 Keep up the great work! 😎👍🏾

It's a bit of a diss to the reactors, podcasters, bloggers, etc. You all profited from the beef, but kept saying it's only hip hop. No street shit. No violence. He's also saying you guys try to analyze but don't understand shit.

You’re right that’s probably what he was saying! But on the other hand it doesn’t really matter. These reactors and podcasters that do this. Help people understand the art. Not the culture now all the other bull crap but the art. Because that’s what it is it’s art. And a lot of the artist think the reactors and podcasters. to name a few Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, Tom MacDonald, Russ, Post Malone, kool-Aid. And that’s just the name a couple. I’d like you to say that about no life shaq. And Stevie Knight. You know honesty I don’t know if you were just trying to let him know that J. Cole was spitting that or whatever the case. But either way, the reactors are doing a great job and they do help and people do like it or they wouldn’t have millions of fans. And a lot of the Artist wouldn’t give a shit. Of course someone’s gonna diss them if they take sides with another artist. But I don’t think any of them took sides. I believe they react on who does the best and gives their two cents. 🎉

@@SimplyETalk my commentary is about Knox, Shaq, Scru, all of them, even The Company man and What’s the Dirt. All of them. They all profited from the beef and tried to keep it going far beyond what it needed to. This is for all the media who acted like parasites in this time.

Nah, he talking about specifically from a rap pov. He can hang with everyone and anyone. He ain’t no push over and he definitely would’ve bodied. He was just smart enough to see it was deeper than that and knew he wasn’t gonna steep that low. Don’t get it twisted, he’s still lethal. Just smart.
@acechima752527 күн бұрын
@@jfreshmoney619 It's simple, if he knows he ain't built for rap battling then he should keep it off his raps. He is talking to the wrong genre if he thinks he can go around talking the talk without walking the walk. He is not a newbie to hip-hop, we know rap battles are disrespectful at best, so if he wants to play a good boy, he should avoid hinting at being "lethal" and stay in his kumbaya lane.

@@acechima7525 nah you still not getting it. K dot and drake was on a different level of beef. Yeah he responded and he had every right to with 7 minute drill. It wasn’t until after that that he saw them dudes was tryna tear each other down and ruin the others career. He’s homeboys with both of them so why would he try to go that hard when in reality they was looking for a reason to go at one another? It’s not that he doesn’t want the smoke, he can handle that. What he means is that if he went hard like they did, he would’ve been on the outs with one of them or even both. He ain’t wanna get someone to find dirt on them like they did to each other. For him, it was and always will be about the rhymes. And don’t act like he ain’t one of the best when it comes to that. His point is that the beef was way more than anyone could’ve expected and people really wanted him to get that low and do what they did to each other when he didn’t wanna do all that. And this shit was not a rap battle. Them mfs wanted the other dead, you could easily tell.
@_NoHandle_27 күн бұрын
@@jfreshmoney619 Cole knew what was up with his two homeboys BEFORE he dropped his diss track. *WE knew* Kendrick and Drake had strong animosity towards each other and we don't even know them personally - there no way Cole didn't know this as well and yet he STILL decided to drop his diss track. Now he's trying to rewrite history and pretend that he didn't know how they felt about each other. He's GASLIGHTING.
