That's fr a great point. Many aspects of the music industry don't care about the struggle of artists, black and otherwise but are happy to exploit them for every penny they have then toss them aside when they're no longer wanted. It also speaks of the tragic element of hip hop with its historical links to gangster culture and murder but often don't get appreciated until someone loses their life for a pointless creed.

J. Cole had it coming. He was NEVER about being bravado, but the fans literally BEGGED him to start talking shit, and he tried to please everyone so he eventually fell into that trap. The greatest thing about Cole is his ability to admit and learn from his mistakes, that’s the realest shit you can do and why his music will always hit for me. I will always support him. And to be fair, he had one hell of a situation, the only line where he got cross fired from Kendrick was the “Mf the big 3, it’s just the big me”, which is still friendly competition towards him. He definitely should have addressed it that way if he wanted to respond, but his immediate respond was to aim low, critiquing KDot’s album and lifestyle. If he really wanted to respond he should’ve just talked shit about him being the best in another song and that’s it, all of this would’ve never happened because KDot was still aiming for Drake’s head, not Cole’s.

Kendrick highlighted many of the teachings of The Bhagavad Gita in 616 in LA with expressing his moral dilemma of knowing his dharma is to fight and defend his family and legacy but also recognizing the negative karmic implications he’s sowing by going to war. Something his soul is still clearly wrestling with in Watch the Party Die. LaCrae sharing his two cents about what Christ would have done/has done. And Cole showing the world what that looks like in real time. This is the most conscious rap beef in music history and I’m here for it! 🔥

Don’t care what anyone says. Hop on a song with j Cole and you need to be in your prime. It’s always been about healthy competition. Remember the last time it was taken seriously two legends died( RIP Tupac and biggie).

Cole just a real ass dude! Says his friendships are more important than stupid rap beefs that makes enemies!. Takes a real one to stay in the middle not picking a side with 2 friends. Still has his spot, what a MC!

I love the fact that Cole still credits Drake with helping him a lot which he's done for a lot of artists including Kendrick.

I feel like the general narrative from this song is all positive and like Cole knew a lot of things we didn’t really acknowledge as fans initially; can’t wait for The Fall Off

@@prepaidtrash5552Because his friendships ain't worth the empty approval and glaze from people like you who just wana be entertained. That's not even the point he was trying to get across. He literally explained people like you in the song. Bro wants to live life and keep his circle clean. I'm a KDot fan mainly but damn, y'all glazers be saying anything, make it harder to be a KDot fan. 💀

It's a bit of a diss to the reactors, podcasters, bloggers, etc. You all profited from the beef, but kept saying it's only hip hop. No street shit. No violence. He's also saying you guys try to analyze but don't understand shit.

But Knox Hill legit is the best. He’s breaking down albums like MTBMB by Em and Kendrick, Nas, Jay songs. Others are shit yes, but Knox is a real one

they’re just doing their job what are they supposed to do ?
@SIMPLYGROOT2 ай бұрын
You’re right that’s probably what he was saying! But on the other hand it doesn’t really matter. These reactors and podcasters that do this. Help people understand the art. Not the culture now all the other bull crap but the art. Because that’s what it is it’s art. And a lot of the artist think the reactors and podcasters. to name a few Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, Tom MacDonald, Russ, Post Malone, kool-Aid. And that’s just the name a couple. I’d like you to say that about no life shaq. And Stevie Knight. You know honesty I don’t know if you were just trying to let him know that J. Cole was spitting that or whatever the case. But either way, the reactors are doing a great job and they do help and people do like it or they wouldn’t have millions of fans. And a lot of the Artist wouldn’t give a shit. Of course someone’s gonna diss them if they take sides with another artist. But I don’t think any of them took sides. I believe they react on who does the best and gives their two cents. 🎉

@@SIMPLYGROOT my commentary is about Knox, Shaq, Scru, all of them, even The Company man and What’s the Dirt. All of them. They all profited from the beef and tried to keep it going far beyond what it needed to. This is for all the media who acted like parasites in this time.
