Cole Porter Documentary - Biography of the life of Cole Porter

A talented composer and songwriter, Cole Porter handled both music and lyrics with ease, and conquered Broadway and Hollywood with his witty songs. His work includes "Night and Day" and "I've Got You Under My Skin." However, his life was marred by a 1937 riding accident that left him unable to walk. He died in California in 1964, having written more than 800 songs.

IT GRIEVES ME SO MUCH TO THINK THAT A GREAT TALENT LIKE COLE PORTER SUFFERED A RIDING ACCIDENT. CURIOUSLY THE SAME THING HAPPENED WITH MOZART AND CHOPIN. THEIR AILMENTS PUT A HALT TO THEIR GREAT TALENT. HE SPREAD SUCH JOY. PALAZZO REZZONICO'? AT LEAST HE HAD SOME COMPENSATING JOY. REZZONICO ONE OF MY FAVORATE PLACES IN EARTH AND PORTER ONE OF MY GREATEST SOURCES OF JOY AND JOVIALITY HE WAS AN AMERICAN GREAT.
