James Rowland KLR Transportation I was a palliative care volunteer and at the end stage of any life I was honoured to be there to support the family at this worst time in their life. You and people like Cole and his family may never have known everyone you prepare each grave for, yet what you do is a very respectful part of the last time a loved one is seen. Only then can the healing begin and a place to mourn them become sadness that lessens as time passes. This is where family history searchers are drawn to find our kin folk from the past. Always in our hearts and never forgotten. Thank you.

Cole, my grandfather taught me a great trick for when you run a piece of equipment out of fuel. Make up a air blow gun with a 12 inch brake line attached to the blow gun. Open #1 injector line, wrap several shop rags around the line and put the blow gun into the fuel. Try to seal the opening with the shop rags. Put air into the fuel tank, the air pressure will make the fuel come out the open injector line. Tighten up the injector line and while still adding air pressure to the tank, fire the unit up. This works well and it's faster than priming by hand.

Hi, Just watched a few videos, good info. even if I am not a farmer ! Question, you said you spend a few hundred hours loading all the corn in the trailers to then unload them into the Semi Truck ? Why not just bring the Semi in close to the corn and load it directly or with a longer agar auger ? From a "new guy on your farm" it looks like a lot of extra effort and wear tear on the tractors and fuel cost ?
@ColeTheCornstar5 жыл бұрын
My FREE Frugal Homestead That's a really good question. We cannot get our semis into the flat storage building. That would be a really good idea though. Most longer augers are bottom driven meaning we would need a tractor at the bottom and pushing that into a pile of corn would be difficult. Thanks for the question!

SuperAgentman007 We didn't change our fuel filter. We sell it to an ethanol plant primarily.

Cole The Cornstar You should’ve changed your fuel filters when you run out of fuel because I have a cat 930G I ran out of fuel and what happened was it sucked all the garbage from the bottom of the tank into the injectors went to the injectors got screwed up and they have to be replaced that’s why they always say if you run your diesel out of fuel always change your filter and also on the bottom of the tank there’s a drain valve you should open up once in a while to allow the water and garbage to drain out once in a while.⛽️:)
