I am four years sober from terrible heroin addiction. I did you're video every damn day. I show other girls the videos and you planted the seed farther then you will ever know. You saved my life and in turn gave my daughter the gift of a good mom and my mom the gift of a healthy daughter. You're beautiful you opened my eyes my mind and most of all my heart. You're my hero.

I can’t believe a dozen people thumbs down this. What is there to dislike??? Your story is raw and real and inspiring as hell! I watched this last night, shared it on social media, meditated before bed and woke up feeling more connected to myself and free because what you said resonates with me. Thank you for doing what you do. I’m so grateful you and YogaTX got hooked up together somehow and I stumbled upon your videos and finally at nearly age 29 I finally understood how powerful and helpful yoga is ESPECIALLY for someone in recovery.🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤 I actually came back to this video to copy the url to send to a good friend. Thank you for posting this!

You are a beautiful person. I suffered from drug and alcohol addiction for 15 years. In treatment they used to take us to the gym. It was there that i found a passion for training and it saved my life. 6 detox facilities, jail, psych ward, medications, hopsitals, broken bones, etc etc etc. And now i have 8 months sober, and this time has been life changing, ive been doing your yoga every morning, strength training and meditating and my life is beautiful. Thank you!

Thank you so much! Relate to you so much. The yoga journey is new for me. I can relate about the self hatred, and feeling of being fundamentally flawed, I am also a massage therapist! I’m excited to see where this journey leads me, the only time I feel safe also is on my yoga mat! Thank you again!

I suffer from chronic depression, anxiety, fibromyalgia, and seizures, which have led me to alcohol and pills, although i do my best to use these things moderately, although i know deep down things could spiral out of control at any moment. I suffer from self loathing and suicidal thoughts every day. I hate myself and i hate my body and brain for going wonky on me so young. However, every day i get out of bed, no matter how terrible i feel, i get on my mat and i do yoga with you. Your voice is soothing and comforting and out of all the teachers I've ever watched on youtube, you are my absolute favorite. I can be having a horrible day either with pain or mental issues and ill think: maybe i should just have a few shots, pop some pills, and pass out... or i could do yoga with Cole. I cant honestly say i choose you every time, but the fact you are there as a choice is a beautiful thing. I thank you for the bottom of my heart. You are an amazing soul and im so blessed to have you in my life. Thank you.

Thank you for sharing your story. So inspiring. I started on my yoga journey a month before I was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in 2016. I had no idea I was dying.. something in the yoga practice, you know/understand what it is, kept carrying me along.. and during that time, before I was diagnosed, the yoga was beginning to clear a path for me, somehow, of a greater understanding. I knew something wasn’t right but i didn’t know what it was. After the year of chemotherapy and healing, before i recurred, while I was a shadow of a human being, frail and no strength left, I found myself going to those yoga classes, still. I find your story palpable and moving for so many reasons. I struggled with alcoholism when I was younger and had a husband who was an addict/alcoholic also. I finally got away from it all and let the goodness that I knew I finally deserved, embrace me. You look so strong, beautiful and healthy, it’s amazing to hear what you have been through..Namaste, Cole. 😘

Wow my sobriety sister I had no idea, I will celebrate 20 years on New Years Day! We are so blessed, I have always believed addicts are people with the huge hearts and spirits, we just went looking for God in wrong place. Following the precepts of yoga aligns and complements living sober in so many profound ways, I think you are onto something. Many thanks and blessings Cole.

Thank you Cole for sharing your truth, and your recovery. It's such a hard thing to do sometimes, so I want to thank you for having the courage to share your not so glamourous experiences with us. I'm a yogi who also has struggled with addiction, and the mental challenges that associated with addiction. Yoga is such an amazing tool for those in recovery, and I'm so glad you have been able to give back with the knowledge and strength you now have to support and empower those people. It's amazing what conscious connection can do to transform and empower us, and bring us to our higher selves. I found myself crying when I heard your past experience of not knowing you had a higher self, because I have been doing your yoga and thai massage videos for some time now, and I see you shine your light so beautifully. It's amazing though isn't it that we all have light and connection to our highest selves, even those who have never yet glimpsed it. Thank you for sharing all you do, for sharing your light to me and those around the world. Namaste, sister.

YogaTX have themselves an incredible person on their team and you inspire me everyday. Even days I don't get around to the Yoga, I have your words in my mind. I don't even use a mat, something that used to stop me from attempting yoga. But with you that's not important, just showing up is. Thank you for sharing more about yourself, it takes such courage to be real, something I strive for in everything now. Real to myself, to my friends, to my world! Thank you for sharing. I was an alcoholic as well and started quite young at 14. I totally know what you mean on how you felt the first time, feeling so good... almost euphoric. I know now I have anxiety and PTSD, but back then I was just trying to escape the pain and alcohol made me feel amazing. So it became my go-to, especially in social situations. I also said to myself that I loved drinking so much that I would never "let" it become a problem. So I wouldn't drink everyday, leave a day or two out in the week. I also started using drugs, mostly coke and MDMA, staying up until noon the next day partying with "friends". It's pretty amazing how it dawns on you, all of a sudden it just doesn't make sense any more.. an Ah-Ha! moment. I'm so glad that so many people are sharing their stories, I love how real people are becoming, not trying to hide anymore or be fake. Thank you for being so real and raw with us, you are an inspiration and I would love to come practice with you in Bali! I'll try and save up.Namaste

Cole Chance, you are my hero. As a recovering addict, I was with you every step of the way while listening to this, although in my life it was not to the extremes that you survived - you express it so well and with such authenticity, which made me tear up. Often when I hear people speak their truth, it sounds rehearsed or tired. Your delivery is so fresh, it's as if you're sitting with us having tea. I love your energy, I love your story, I love your yoga. A death in my family got me on the mat in grief and kept me from going back to the bottle. I do yoga (with you!) every morning now, have been doing it daily for four years, and now have incorporated a daily meditation routine as well. You are such an inspiration. I have been so fascinated by your ability to share your yoga wisdom and your Light and for the grace and eloquence in which you teach. And now I am completely blown away by your story. You are truly AMAZING and so STRONG and WISE and BEAUTIFUL and I have no words to describe how moved and touched and proud I am by you! Thank you for sharing! I have an even deeper respect & admiration for you now! With love always! I hope to take a class in person with you someday. 💕❤️💖💕

Thank you for sharing and for your honesty! I just did one of your flows. I used to think I had to workout hard for it to be worth anything. I realize that was something out into my head and I need slow steady movement for my healing, recovery and to connect to myself. Movement looks different for everyone. Thank you!!

Thank you for sharing your story. I had developed a dependency on alcohol about 15 years ago. About 10-11 years ago I recognized this and started cutting back gradually. 9 years ago I rediscovered yoga ( I had practiced briefly in my early 20’s). 8 years ago, after a year of practicing yoga, I stopped drinking completely. I am so grateful for my sobriety and my yoga practice. I am sure the two are connected.

Cole, thank you so very much for sharing this story. I actually came across your videos after I entered my 2nd Sober Living home after my 6th Rehab, 5 relapses & 25 years running. My life spiraled out of control, and than hit a brick wall on June 4, 2017 when my 13 year old son died of a Fentanyl/Heroin overdose. Talk about broke down and beaten. Just like you, at one of my rehabs, they had an entire wellness department, which introduced me to Yoga, Gemstones, Aromatherapy, Acupuncture, how diet effects your organs and how your organs effect your emotions, all sorts of holistic approaches to recovery. 3 more facilities after that before I came to where I am at now. Today I have 14 months clean. And hearing your story so deeply resonated with me because I have stated Grief/Trauma Therapy, and my therapist told me I have PTSD and Dissociative Disorder. Your talk about behind disconnected from everything, and yoga bringing you that connection is EXACTLY where I am at this very moment. I cannot thank you enough for your story. You give me strength, inspiration and hope to continue on this journey. Thank you so very much! 💖💋🙌

Cole, thank you for sharing your story. I celebrated 4 years clean this past July. Through this beautiful journey of recovery I too found yoga, and it has helped me so much in becoming connected to my body and my higher power and learning to love and be gentle with myself the last few years. I have used your videos to be able to do yoga from my home. I had no idea you too were in recovery, but was drawn to your videos. The Universe is funny that way. I can relate to a lot of your story and appreciate your honesty and humility. Thank you so much for all you do! Namaste.

Cole, thank you for sharing your story. I've been following your yoga videos every morning for a year now- they've led me to pick up meditation, and generally be kinder to myself. I find my inner voice is much more kind and understanding than it used to be (to myself and to others!), and I thank your videos for helping me end up here. Your beautiful, inspiring energy has transformed my life. I remember the first time I heard you say "the light and love within me bows and sees the light and love within you" at the end of a video, I felt this swell of emotion and a physical sensation in my chest. You're incredible and magic Cole, thank you so much for everything you've done for me and all these lovely other commenters
