Coleman Lantern Hard to Start. Can You Clean the Generator?

I have two Coleman double mantle lanterns. One is a model 220E and the other is a model 220F.

I just bought a Coleman 220J made in 1979. It only needed 2 new mantels. I turn in on in my garage while I'm reloading.

I bought a Coleman propane lantern recently. It puts out a good amount of light.

I've never used a propane lantern, I would miss the hissing sound! LOL
