Well, the cord blew out on the borrowed PM 1850 tonight and now I know that I'll be taking it to the shop after I get my generator back from them... Thanks for the helpful video!

What a pain. I have had this generator for 15 years and no problems. Let a little old couple borrow it in NC after this Hurrican and they broke it the first day. I don’t mind but this repair is wild

Whatever person at the Coleman head office decided riveting the housing on was a good idea can eat shit lol, thanks for the video, I was very close to drilling them out instead!

Wouldn't mind possibly buying another 1850 watt Coleman running or not.

I still have the one my uncle got for y2k! with Ida coming up my butt tomorrow i made sure she was still in great shape. I use non-corn fuel with stabil and seafoam. 1/2 gallon from last october was still fresh. Started right up! Good vid!!!

On all my pull start motors I use chapstick on the pull start cord. You put some chapstick on the string on a crossbow so it doesn't rub scaife and burn. Been working good on all engine pull start cords.

@@tomtee4442 LOL i was using the 1850 as a fridge/freezer runner for a couple of friend's houses. The night power came back on for one of them, i arrived back to the house after running a couple of errands for an hour or so and saw the handle laying on the concrete next to the gen. i told the wife SOB! This is a pita to fix! lol
