My Worst Longboard Crash EVER

I went to LA to film some new content for y'all, and on the first run of the day... I completely torched myself.
Id consider this the worst fall of my career.
Im definitely sore but thankful to still be doing what I love. Tons of new content coming to you soon. This is just the start!

I used to skateboard 5 years ago. I was new to it but had learnt a few skills and also use to go full speed on it on quite roads. There’s been a few times where I’ve injured myself from skateboarding on the road which was quite bad. But one time at night I was skateboarding down a steep road and lost my balance and fell onto the road. I remember I couldn’t move my body for around 10 seconds and badly scraped my arm. At speed like that, ouch... I was doing 25 mph on a bike path and came around the corner upon a runner in my lane and a runner coming from the other direction, on the curve. I took the grass in order to avoid hitting someone, and foolishly tried to get back on the concrete... didn't realize there was about an inch lip, and both wheels hit the lip at the same time. Went over like a door on a hinge and slammed me into the ground, feet still locked into the pedals. It seemed like I could hear my ankle grinding on the concrete more than I could feel it. The guy running from the other direction apologized to me, I put my hand up and shook my head (still sitting on the ground) and let both of them know that it was my fault... and apologized to them for disrupting their workout. I has blood running from about 4 different places, still kept my spirits up "Oooh that's going to leave a mark" when I saw the bottom of my arm all tore up. I had to ride 3 more miles to get back to my vehicle, the air hitting mangled skin hurt so bad, even at a reduced speed. What is crazy is that this video has a guy going probably twice as fast as I was going, freaking OUCH!!!

I had similar crash years ago. Hit a small bump in road, speed wobble and board jackknifed. Remember flying through air headfirst thinking "damn, I'm gonna land on my head"". Somehow managed to twist body round and landed on right shoulder. Apart from the road rash didn't realise I'd shattered end of collar bone and fractured scapula until next day when right arm wouldn't work.

I’m impressed that you kept going after that fall! I once fell off of my mother’s balcony while helping with the yard work. The fall was about 18 ft. Went back to working on the yard for 4 more hrs. As I turned out, I had a head injury and certainly could have died that day because it was a really bad fall. Thankfully, the long shears I was holding at the time did not impale me when I landed! 😂 Stay safe! I love your iron will. Very impressive.

Dude, Changing Clothes and Showering must’ve been Brutal after that. Had a similar experience so I can personally feel those burns. In July 2020, A couple of friends and I were starting attempting to start an ATV with an ignition that wouldn’t start The Solution that came up was to push the vehicle down the road with two people from the rack, and turn the motor to move. Halfway through, the friend riding the vehicle realized the Fuel line was shut, and switched it open. The vehicle went full throttle at 25mph the very least, dragging both of us two holding on. Basketball shorts made the effects worse Every shower for the next month stung were a searing torture, and the bandages that I put on initially stuck to my skin, so I had to basically rip my own skin off to some extent. I miss longboarding. Been about 20 years. My worst crash was when my buddy went down in front of me on a U shaped turn. He fell to the inside of the radius and I had to go around him on the outside. That didn’t leave me with enough room for the turn so I bailed as to not fly off the edge of the road where there was a very steep grade. I landed on my right shoulder and bounced off the ground, my shoes popped off and one landed OVER a fence. Both hands were pouring blood, and I had giant road rash on my right arm. I kept trying to stand up to look for my shoes but almost passed out when I would stand up. Met up with my buddy who was better off, then finished the hill sitting on my board. Went to the hospital and got my left hand stitched up, and got all the dirt/rocks scraped out of the other wounds. Looking at the scars right now. Good memories!
