Oh my . I cant sew the lining for the life of me. I tried 2x and it was wrong. I had no problem with the exterior,but the bulky foam just made me crazy trying to sew the lining. I got one side done hand sewing it first- but the other side will get glued!! I made the Tribbiani bag and didnt have any issues and that had a gusset also. Maybe my day was just off. 😪. Good thing this is for me. I love your videos -you make everything look so easy.

Thank you for explaining why you don't sew the zipper in the gusset. It makes sense now. I have a question: When sewing the lining, and you increase the seam from 3/8" to 1/2", why do you go back at the base to a 3/8"?
@kayapapayadesign2614 жыл бұрын
Because the side pieces are the same size as the exterior pieces. So if you don't move back out to 3/8" the side pieces won't fit right later. You will be stitching the sides of the lining part at 1/2" later so it will make the lining less baggy :)

I want to make this bag. Both of them are beautiful. I love the way you combine colors and materials. I would like to make this with a pocket divider for my pc. Do you think it will work? And do I need to extend the pattern or does it have room for a 15” MacBook Pro? 😊🙏🏻

I am not sure it would quite fit, you may have to enlarge just a little.

Another great video. I like that this bag may be more domestic machine-friendly. I'm still contemplating whether I should get an industrial. I do have 2 questions for you, which you may have answered in other videos so please forgive me for making you repeat yourself. Question 1: what kind of double-sided tape do you use? Question 2: Love that chalk marker you have. Where could I order one? Thank you.

I use the double sided tape from Wawak.com, and I think my chalk pen came from amazon, but can’t find the link for the life of me!

Really want to make this bag. I have no confidence that I can add zipper pulls after I sew panels together. For every 10 zipper pulls I add to zipper tape, 9 out of 10 will be at least one zipper tooth off. Not confident at all that I could match the zipper.
