This is the SIXTH episode in video series that looks at the art and artists who populated this extraordinary community in Downtown New York. called SOHO in the 1960's 70's and 80's. Inspired by Woody Allen's film "Midnight in Paris", Tschinkel looks a his community, artist friends and events that shaped the incredible creative output at the time. He still lives there.

Cool video. I saw a Cindy Sherman exhibit at the Walker Art Center about 12 years ago and it was really interesting. Keep up the good work! Really enjoy your channel as a time capsule for old nyc.

Cindy's just another hype, Colette is a visionary.

I am sure that is not true. Cindy worked in a different direction and went on to do very significant work. She is also a visionary but of a different kind. So am sorry to disagree. Look at my Cindy Sherman on VIMEO and you will see what I mean.
