The Browns have had the best offseason hands-down. Not only have they addressed all of their defensive needs in the draft as well as free agency, but they improved their run defense by adding Clowney, too. People can say what they want about Clowney, but he’s a three-time Pro Bowler and an effective run stopper. If the Browns are going to get past the Ravens, they’re going to have to at least contain their running game, which has been the best in the league during the past two seasons. Adding Clowney helps them do that not to mention their significant upgrades in their secondary.

Nobody really knows who is going to be good and who will wash out. The Raiders "reached" in the first round but now it comes out that other teams were targeting Leatherwood in the first round. I dont know why this is so difficult for some people to grasp: any decision can be evaluated in the moment, after the fact, and long after the fact - that's how choices are made! Has Colin never... gone shopping for example. You can evaluate the draft based on how teams handled themselves, the choices they made in the moment, based the information about and potential of the players drafted, and likelihood that that will address their weaknesses and to what degree. And then you can evaluate- in hindsight- how that draft materialized on the field, or didn't materialize on the field... it's really not that complicated of a concept.
