@thomasblock11642 сағат бұрын
Right. Inane statement. Lions don't get pressure without Hutchinson so Richardson will be able to run. Does the man watch football? I also like the idea that the more dominant you are, the more likely you are to play a game close. 7.5 is a big number, but the Lions held Mixon to 46 yards on 25 carries. Can Indy play it close if they only get 75 yards on 25 carries from Jonathon Taylor? Are the Colts 5- 6 in spite of being a great team or because of it? Being a fan of a struggling franchise forever, I knew that when we played a team with the best record in the NFL, we hoped it would be close...but they would usually pull away halfway through the 3rd quarter. (don't expect 5 turnovers to keep it close, because that is unlikely)

Disagree with your take on the Seahawks/Cardinals game. Give up the idea that "they just released their leading tackler, so they don't know who they are". That's a misinterpretation of what went down. They saw that Dodson was continually not filling the gaps on the run game and getting beat in coverage and wanted to go with the rookie LB who was wowing in practice. Yes, Dodson was the leading tackler, but that was always 5-7 yards behind the line of scrimmage -- and your MLB should almost always be your leading tackler anyway? They bring in Ernest Jones (for an absolute steal), moved Dodson to OLB and immediately things got better. Dodson was no longer the leading tackler. Then they started the rookie Knight, and it was better still. McDonald has sent a message to the team that the best player starts no matter the contract and the team responded. On top of that, they're getting healthy on the O-line which is helping a LOT, and DK is back healthy so they have a WR that can stretch the field again. Think it just took a while for the new players on defense to get playing well together, after a myriad of injuries earlier on. AZ beating up on the Dolphins in Tua's 1st game back, the Bears the game before they fire their OC, and the dumpster-fire Jets the last 3 games has everyone overplaying them. Yes, Kyler is playing great and they're well coached, but take Seattle in this one as it's a playoff game urgency for them. AZ can drop this one and still be fine for the playoffs.. It may not even be close.

Colts DO NOT have the best run blocking team in the NFL. Someone needs to take a look at what the Lions OL does while run blocking. Colts have 5 wins and only 1 good one vs Steelers. Colts are 5-6 for a reason, you are what your record says you are. Goff vs A. Richardson is a huge mismatch. One last thing when Lions are up 28-3 in second half how much run blocking will the Colts be doing? Good Luck with that +7.5...

9:44 just shows how ridiculous some of these so-called experts can be. Green Bay is winning on luck? Their coaches predicted a blocked kick in the Bears game. They watched film and knew that their kicker has been making low kicks. They game planned to make a strong push up the middle for him. Great coaching created this so-called Luck. What turnover luck did the Packers have? They barely beat Houston despite dominating them. The game was only close because of bad GB turnovers, not because of Houston turnovers. So where was the luck? Most GB games have been close DESPITE the turnovers by the Packers, not because the other teams should have won but kept turning it over. As for the SF game this Sunday....the wise guys are leaning SF because quite frankly, SF has owned the Packers for over a decade now. Its smart business to bet on the team that has won probably about 10 of their last 12 meetings.

Um... Rams O-Line (which STILL hasn't had a single game this season with all 5 starters) hasn't allowed a sack on Stafford in 3 of the last 4 games and only allowed 3 pressures against a NE team that had NINETEEN (along with 9 sacks) the week before. Plus, Kyren Williams just averaged 5.7 yards per rush. I generally like everything you put out, but what on Earth are you two talking about here? Is this another one of those "national media doesn't always pay close attention to what's happening with every team" sort of situations? And to say the line is so low because the sharps keep going back and forth between the Rams and the Eagles ignores the point -- an 8-2 team that ranks first in the league on defense and close to the top in several offensive categories (and, oh, just happens to be on a 6 game winning streak) is only a 3 point favorite against a 5-5 team? Obviously, there's more going on here than either of you have bothered to look into. I'm first to admit I'm a homer for the Rams, but... jeez... do better. I usually don't walk away thinking "Colin and Chad have no clue what they're talking about." My head tells me Philly likely wins this game, but the line is just about right, which means the Rams have a chance. Here's what you're ignoring: 1) Philly having to travel across country to play a game that will start at 8:15pm their time. Not easy. 2) Chris Long just reported that 52% of tickets have been bought by Eagles fans. Compared to what it was last time the Eagles came to town, I'll take it (assuming the report is true). It's not saying a lot, I know, but there's a big difference between 70/30 and 52/48. We saw the same thing with the Vikings game. I know -- they don't travel quite as well as the Philly crowd -- but the time of the game does impact how many fans from the visiting team can make the cross-country trek. It's way easier to show up for a 1pm PST game than a 5:15pm PST game. Vikings game was pretty even, and this one sounds like it will be, too. 3) Compare Eagles' SOS and SOV to the Rams' SOS and SOV. Can't ignore the fact that, on the whole, Rams have played a significantly tougher schedule than the Eagles. It's pretty easy to look like world beaters against the Giants, Cowboys, Saints (who they barely beat), Jaguars (also a close game), Browns (yet another very close game) and Bengals. Plus, they lost to the Falcons at home and got blown out by the Bucs. Even the Packers win is a bit questionable because it was the first game of the year and Love got hurt on the final drive of a one-score game. 4) Philly D has only been league average against the run, and, again, they haven't really played against many tough backs, outside of Josh Jacobs (against whom they gave up over 5 yards/carry) and Bijan Robinson (almost 7 yards/carry). Bucky Irving also had nearly 5 yards/carry. The Rams should be able to run the ball pretty well against them, which means Rams receivers are probably going to face a lot of man coverage, and I'll take my chances with Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua against rookies, especially working out of the slot against a drawn in defense. The Rams are a very stiff test for this Philly D.
@Tmindful1824 сағат бұрын
LOL the patriots dont have a single player that could start on the eagles… maybe Gonzalez? But then you’d have to sit slay. Jalen carter is weapon of mass destruction. Anyone can win in the nfl… but the rams will need turnovers & stafford to catch fire. They got manhandled by Miami when relatively healthy…not a good look
@EmmaKing303 сағат бұрын
Yeah but the Eagles should cover
@kevinjackson9323 сағат бұрын
@@EmmaKing30 Maybe. My point is that the reasons Colin and Chad are giving for picking Philly are nonsense. If Philly wins this game (whether they cover or not), my guess is that it'll be because Barkley goes off. He's a very tough match-up for everyone right now, especially a defense like the Rams', since there's a very good chance Philly will be able to use him to neutralize what the Rams' D is really good at (pressuring the QB).
@kevinjackson9323 сағат бұрын
@@Tmindful182 Not saying the Eagles aren't good, or even that they shouldn't be favored. I'm just saying that the reasons Colin and Chad are giving are silly. Rams have given up zero sacks in 3 of their last 4 games, and the one game they faltered was the game they decided to give the Jonah Jackson and Joe Noteboom experiments one final try. Btw, don't be surprised if Miami ends up in the playoffs. They're way better than their records suggests. Also, I think it's safe to say that several people on the Vikings defense, plus, at least, Max Crosby, could start on the Eagles, so... we're not just doing it against the Patriots (who, to reiterate, were coming off a 19 pressure / 9 sack performance the week before).
@Tmindful1822 сағат бұрын
@ the rams can easily win… but not getting sacked by the patriots isn’t much of a thing IMO. I think the rams are another good draft away from true contender until stafford is done
