I kind of relate to this song. I have an amazing life, I really do - I appreciate it, and most of the time, I am very happy. This song, in my perspective, is about realizing you have a really good life, and coming to terms with it. You have good times and bad times, but overall your life is good. It's strange though, realizing that you have all you need and a lot of what you want, and that life may not get better. It's good and strange, all at once.

He is pretty right on a lot of things in this song. The world is beautiful. For me, being a Christian helps me to see that even more. We're perfectly entitled to find happiness, using any means which are morally right. So for those of you who aren't Christians I don't hate you, or want to argue like a lot of others seem to on here, I want to say that I'm happy you've also found a way to also see the beauty of this world.

I meditated on & off for some 18 months, a year and a half, at the age of 33-4, on the proposition that John Howard was right, that this is as good as it gets, that one should secularize, pragmatize, sympathize in a limited degree, not too extensively, and came to the conclusion that was a load of old rot, as anyone still a teenager will not have forgot, and as anyone dead will not retain in their head.
