Supposedly in real life he and Bradley (Arthur) were VERY close friends, possibly even having a deeper relationship. If you notice in the off-set interviews Bradley wears a ring on his right thumb, which in the UK supposedly indicates interest in same-sex relationships.

If Arthur does get told about Merlin and his powers I really hope it isn't done in a "Bitter End" thing where Merlin uses his powers in front of Arthur to help during a battle or something and then right after Merlin dies. THAT WOULD TOTALLY SUCK! I want to see Merlin as something like the Courts Sorcerer and have Arthur evolve out of his hatred for all magic. It would be awesome to see this character development.
