Khalil Mack worked just as hard and had 17 sacks last year and he took pay cut to better the team not himself. The chargers had been giving Keenan contract extensions for years and it was always after serious injury or multiple injuries, or he spent more time on injured reserve than he did on the field and yet they still showed loyalty to him by rewarding him for his talent and would have done so again at the end of the season if had done the same showed them the same loyalty he got his entire career from the chargers but oh well now he’s a bear and we wish him the best but bottom line he was selfish for what he chose so I hope it was worth it

Every game I was getting tired of hearing the TV announcers talking about the Chargers drops. Williams was injured, so who was dropping git? QJ? He only had a few passes thrown his way. KA is getting his money. It’s not like Chargers are contenders. I don’t blame him for getting his money. Pay cut for what? Seriously, for what?

Long time chargers fan. He was coming off the best season of his career so I respect him for not taking a payout. Los Angeles should have made that right

Keenan didn’t think this out right. If he took the pay cut, he would still be a show piece and had another pro bowl type year. THEN he could have walked as a free agent and made bigger bank. OR, he could have let the Chargers, with top 5 cap space next year, do him right at that time and let him retire a Charger. NOW, Keenan has had a suck year, looks like an aging veteran and will not get anywhere near what he could have if he had bit the bullit and stayed in place one year. The team would have taken care of him if he had taken care of the team. Bosa and Mack don’t regret their choice one bit.
