I don’t think it was slander. I think he was just saying the truth is if you had four GM’s with an opportunity to take a quarterback that all four would take Herbert over Purdy, even though Purdy’s got four playoff wins. Just like people would take Dan Marino over Nick Foles. Foles has a Super Bowl. Marino does not. Playoff and Super Bowl wins do not automatically decide if a player is good or not.

With 8 seconds left in the half, and Broncos facing a punting situation, most opposing coaches would have let the clock run out. Especially when you're getting your a$$ kicked like the Chargers had been. But Harbaugh isn't like most coaches. So he takes a timeout. Because he never quits, never gives up. And because, as a former NFL player, he knows nothing is a sure thing. As a consequence, those next 8 seconds will literally go down in the books as one of the best coaching calls of this NFL season. That game, and perhaps the Chargers, Broncos playoff hopes turned on a dime with that call. It was shrewd, and it was brilliant.
@mattcarberry368

i like Harbaugh but yeah, any NFL head coach with a shred of sense would call that timeout and force the other team to at least kick it off and maybe send an all out punt block attempt or something.... again, i've always been pro-Harbaugh, but i believe this is what the kids call "glazing" lol it was pretty basic clock management and i've seen it executed that same way in that scenario many many many times over the years

Bo Nix taking notes and adding chips on the shoulders. AFC West going to be wild. BTW Nix tied Stroud and Herbert's rookie record of games with 200 yards and 2 TDs without a pick. Nix is a good QB, but hes behind an Oline that barely allows pressures, a HOF head coach, and a top 3 defense (#1 coming into the game). If his ceiling was as high as people thought, he would be able to throw down the field and win games when the support doesn't help, but he hasn't shown that yet. Multiple games this season, he's been the reason they 've almost lost. I think Nix is good and has a high ceiling, and said before the year that he would be the best rookie QB, but he's gotta sharpen up before he's considered good

Sean Payton has serious game-management issues. The defense got destroyed in the 2nd half, but Payton only managed to get 3 points from his offense in the 2nd half. The clock management after the INT was awful, helped the Chargers get 3 free points. Then Payton abandoned the running game and put Nix in harm's way. Still with a chance to do something near the end, Payton skipped a manageable 4th down and gave the ball back to Herbert.

Sounds like every other team that can win consistently . . . just look at the Bengals. They put up a ton of points but can't win most games . . .

2:27 Almost slipped there buddy. You were about to say Russell Wilson. We all know he is one of the best scramblers the league has ever seen. He played for YEARS behind terrible protection and did insanely well under the circumstances. You should remember as you pointed it out at the time.Then you decided to change narrative and do a filthy 180 on Russ to help your friend Sean petty Payton. Just say it next time. Russ is the example you wanted, although Herbert did well too.

Bo played better. Crazy reffing. Bs unnecessary roughness to give chargers a TD, Justin Herbert facemasked the guy sacking him and they call it on the defense. No call on the 15 on Marvin mims for PI.

They had so many injuries this year. They started the season 7-3 and first 5 games 3-2 with one of the two losses being to the chiefs. Not an insane take. Hard to win when key players on both sides of the ball are hurt

Broncos will be "One and done" in playoffs. While I'm very happy with Nix performance in his first season and excited for their future, Broncos have been unable to beat any other playoff contenders all year. Got stomped by the Ravens, Lost in KC, Lost twice to S.D and even lost to the Justin Fields lead Steelers early season. Only win we had that was really shocking was going into T.B and winning. San Diego is a weak team imo, yet they swept us this year.
