L Dropper the lack of competition is knew ..at least back then there were teams that could potentially pull off an upset ..most people that make excuses typically are rooting for one of the super teams..if your fine with 2 super teams ..wouldnt 16 super teams be even better? downsize the league already

Colin Cowherd most teams have a lot of players that have big pays and put a lot less work give parsons 20/year and what do you get the reason guys like kobe, mj, bron, kareem, steph are great is cause they put in the work how much does horford do for the amount he gets

There has always been super teams in the history of the NBA. Look at the Celtics and Lakers in the 80's, Bulls in the 90's, Lakers, Celtics, and Spurs in the 2000's and now the Heat, Cavs and Warriors in the current decade

Sid Tay Again, they drafted that MVP. MIAMI's (NOT LEBRON) free agency in 2010 was way worse than Warriors. Miami added in a arguably top 5 PF at that time and Lebron with Dwyane Wade. Warriors kept the core and added in Kevin Durant.

This man is a good comissioner. Never shied away from a question, always answered them assertively and he made great points. GSW wasn't supposed to have this chance with KD but they did. Imagine if Steph never had all thos injuries early in his career amd his contract was bigger... KD couldn't go there. You'll never see another super team built from the draft without any top picks. This probably a once in a lifetime event. And this group won't last long. Other teams most likely never got lucky or did good moves during the season, free agency or draft.

Mr cowherd, I don't know if u actually will read this note, and this is honestly the very 1st time I have ever posted a comment. I am an African American professional, born and raised in Oakland, educated at asu in tempe (football). A master's from haas. One of my favorites players of all time rick Barry predicted that this ownership group would do just this years ago when the new ownership group took over. It wasn't a power team, it was a team that took advantage of drafting good to great "team" oriented players. Mr Durant looked at it and wished to be apart of it. I do love Westbrook, he goes hard every minute. But the team coach Kerr and the ownership group had put together is just that, a team and they are very enjoyable to watch.

Salute to Adam Silver. Interesting talk. Liked the part about "celebrating excellence instead of thinking about how to take it down". Maybe it's up to other GM's and owners to go to the drawing board and up their game. Also, this situation won't last forever. And how unique is this situation really? Wonder even how the revered 90's was if you really look into it... Bulls three-peated twice. Maybe they were able to cruise through the regular season somewhat similarly as Cleveland this year, and always flicked the switch post-season... They went to a game seven only twice in all of their championship runs. But people seem to mostly just respect and glorify those three peats and that era. Still, wondering if NBA should take something from NHL, in terms of how they've managed better parity while still allowing the biggest stars to have impact, like Crosby and Penguins going to the finals for the second year in a row. Or maybe it's just the nature of the game. Less impact from individual players and a bigger talent pool/parity globally. You'll see it in the olympics. USA pretty much a surefire #1 in basketball, whereas in hockey the winner is not as clear-cut. Same thing in soccer.
