This year is going to be nuts ! As a Vol fan, I love my Nico, but Ewers , Jackson Dart, Cam Rising, Miller Moss....man, there is a wealth of guys at QB. Receivers, RBs, and QBs all over. ND isn't going to be the only surprise this year ( but it might be the biggest).
@diegocraneАй бұрын
The one issue I worry about with Ewers is that he lobs the ball when he throws when they need to be a bullet. It's what cost Texas from beating Washington last year. Quinn lobbed it to Mitchell instead of bullet, and so the corner was able to swat it away.
@chriscypert8616Ай бұрын
The play call was for a fade. Sark specifically told him to put it up and let AD go get it. Should he have seen the coverage and adjusted? Sure, but it was an underclassman QB instructed by his coach and primed to make a certain throw. Fortunately, 21 y/o football players can get better, and he appears to still be learning and improving.
@bobbob-gx1iqАй бұрын
It was a fade a 6'3 corner on a 5'10 DB. DB just made a great play
@Nox444Ай бұрын
Idk mate, I’ve definitely seen Quinn throw some darts. But what makes him so great is his touch. He’s puts perfect touch on his passes so they basically fall right into the receivers’ laps.
@larrytischler570Ай бұрын
Diego, Chris, and Bobx sorry, but you are all wrong. It was a perfect call and execution by Quinn and Mitchell. The DB had his left hand on Mitchell's left shoulder and held because he could not reach the ball and it made Mitchell not be able to rise up to the ball which would have been an easy catch. It was shown plainly on replay. The ref did not call it b/c of the big 12 commissioner.
@chriscypert8616Ай бұрын
@@larrytischler570 yeah it was probably interference. If Quinn sees the coverage is behind AD, and simply throws a flat pass at AD’s chest then he catches it in spite of the interference and we play Michigan in the CFB Final.

@50farmersАй бұрын
I'd put Ole Miss over Alabama right now. Bama really struggled against USF until the 4th quarter. Ohio State is possibly the most talented team in football but their schedule may hurt them in the end. Oregon, Michigan, and Penn State have looked terrible so far and don't look like they can test Ohio St. OSU may roll through the B1G this year and not face a real challenge until they run up against Texas or UGA and that may hurt them in the CFP. Cowherd is a USC homer so I'm waiting for USC and Miami to show me more.

Maybe im missing it but the more I watch Texas the more I can’t understand Quinn Ewers slander, he looks like a good player to me I understand CU is klatt’s school so he can’t be objective. But he keeps bringing out that same tired excuses “at least they’re relevant” dude they hired one of the greatest athletes in American sports to coach their team, he brought in a top flight qb, and the best player in the country at wr/cb. Of course they’re relevant. But eventually you need to substantiate the talk, Rhule is building a real program, Deion is just yapping. Congrats they’re printing cash, but they’re awful on the field.

He has a few errant plays per game where he really does something quite risky and it can derail momentum.
@seanc6754Ай бұрын
Yeah Even against Michigan he had some questionable throws that he's lucky didn't turn into interceptions... Plus I think the biggest reason why is cuz people want to see Arch Manning play.. And we've seen a little bit of them what we've seen so far he's going to be damn good
