It is the system, but we also saw what the system looked like with mediocre talent in Dobbs and Mullens. Average QB’s throw interceptions regardless of how good the system is, and Darnold’s kept that part of his game clean. Darnold’s ability to play off key and extend the play is also leaps and bounds above what Cousins could do in the system. It’s definitely a team effort, and KOC’s a coach of the year contender, but Sam’s also better than people gave him credit for.

He also actually has good players around him. Not flip it; Baker in Tampa is also doing well. Wouldn't make more sense to say that they were both in bad situations. Now they are in better situations. Remember Baker went to LA with Mcvay and looked pretty good. Decent atleast. Sam was with Shannhan: He looked Decent. Kevin has the same system. His own version. Still the same. Both of those coaches has taking guys to the superbowl twice. Kevin has yet to do so. Now that he has Sam; he might just go 🤷🏾♂️. Just saying.

JD5 has all the makings of another great NFL quarterback -- if he can remain healthy. Say what you want, but we all know that scramble QB's have a bad legacy of injuries. Joe Theisman or RG3 anyone? Despite being small framed for the NFL, Daniels possesses all the right weapons: he's smart, poised under pressure, can run with agility and speed, has accurate short throw ability as well as accurate long throw ability, And finally, the best of all.... he can throw accurately from any angle, from any foot, and almost any torso position. That ability alone puts him in the top 5 QB's in the NFL right now. Let's all pray that he doesn't get banged up because he could be fun to watch next year given the confidence he sees in his game right now. Even if the Commanders loose in their first playoff game there seems to be enough excitement surrounding JD5 to create huge attention in 2025 season. Always a plus for any franchise. Finally, I hope the coaches plan on continuing to have Jayden throw at Zach Ertz. This could blossom into a very productive QB to tight end scheme, ala Brady/Gronkowski. Ertz is a very very sure handed receiver as well as being a very competent blocker.

Great segment however Colin, you were definitely wrong about one thing. You said that the commander's roster wasn't that different. They flipped half the roster in one off-season 50%

Collin I want you to have Baker and Aaron Rodger’s on the same day in person!!!!

I’d take Daniels over Lamar any day. One guy has no playoff history, which is better than a history of playoff choking

Anyone who really knows football knows everyone can play it’s all about the situation you end up in lol Brady landed in a great situation if he goes to the browns are we having the same convo? Probably not

Giants couldn’t rank right last year and missed out on jayden daniels, then go and do something stupid like beat the colts while trash drew lock randomly throws 4 TDs 🤦♂️

I've always liked Darnold (wanted him for the Steelers along with Mahomes when he came out), but you're kidding yourself. He has an insanely elite WR duo along with TJ Hock at TE and Aaron Jones at RB. Minnesota has had a really damn good group, that yes, could get better. Stop acting like he's playing with a middle of the pack team though.

Congrats to Darnold. He deserves it, but don’t act like he doesn’t have good personnel. They were expected to be good with him BECAUSE of the personnel and coach. They’re just better because he’s been better than expected.

I've been a KOC skeptic for the past few years. But now I believe that more than Sam Darnold being a franchise QB, KOC is a franchise head coach.

Whats interesting about the situation we dont know how this will end up for sam . The team and coaching are saying we want to keep sam and even colin has sold him every chance he can get but knowing this is a buisness and ownership does whats best for ownership . Tim tebow was a great story for a season . Could you have installed a carson wentz in instead of sam and had similar results ? He is sinilar to sam having talent but could stuggle with decesion making . Baker seems to have found a home . Not many can come back to being a starter after loosing it . Pkaying for multiple teams and coaches ussually is a way to a permanent location as a backup or on the couch . Sone have tried like flacco . Winston is another . Its hard to be a coneback kid . Baker had the personality to make it work because he always had to scratch and climb . One season is no garuntee

Both Darnold and Daniels are very good, but these videos always feel like a bit of an overreaction the day after a big game. If Love has a huge game this week, the narrative will change again.

Vikings-Bucs in the playoffs would be an absolute treat to watch. QBs get out of dysfunctional franchises, thrive in a good place in the NFC. Big time ratings for that one

Respectfully Colin, leave the Vikings alone and go bandwagon someone else. I haven’t forgotten the fact that you CONSISTENTLY place the packers above the Vikings in your ridiculous weekly rankings despite Minnesota beating them and having a much stronger record. But oh ya I’m supposed to have sympathy for you because you “called” Sam Darnold’s success?? Ya right. Go bandwagon the chiefs some more. We’ll just keep being the under dog and winning. Skol!

He was right about Sam but wrong about Baker, so it is a wash. Baker is having a better season as well this year on top of having a better career so far.
