The difference is that Giannis was just throwing his brother a payday. No expectation. LBJ literally helped manipulate the draft so his son could come to LA with the expectation that he would play.

This wouldn't bother me if the Lakers just stopped pretending like they picked Bronny for any reason other than the fact that he's LeBron's son. It's a cool story and I'll definitely watch them play together, but stop with the "he earned it" nonsense. If Jerry West were still with us, I'm sure he would let JJ Redick know that Bronny's stats are also online.

I'm glad none of those guys don't run the Giants. There are probably 30 WR that make more than Barkley, Giants don't have one of those WR. Their isn't one successful NFL team whose highest paid offensive weapon is an RB. It would have been starter for the Giants to pay OL like they did, paying top-tier Edge rusher ( Brian Burns), or spend it on improving their WR core. Not paying a RB 14m. That's what losing teams do, team with paying a rookie QB or teams trying to make SB push like Baltimore, Philly, or 49ers. I don't remember the Patriots, Chefs, or SB Giants teams with top paid RB.

Take a look at local small businesses like plumbers, electricians, landscapers etc...the majoirty of those companies are named: "Blank *and sons* electric"...or plumbing whatever...you get it. Was their son really the best electrician they could have hired? Highly doubt it. Nobody complains about that nepotism though...even though in theory that could impact you way more than an NBA second round pick. The Lakers should at least admit it though. Stop insulting our intelligence. Bronny is there because he's LeBron's son. I think being honest would irritate people a lot less.
