happy 25th anniversary the mighty kong! actually remember the ads for this(especially in nickelodeon magazine.:3) and considering king kong got a cartoon/zilla's movie was released this year kinda feels like it could've been a continuation to this with how he lives in this.(definitely get that more from the new kong series than monsterverse.)

I might be wrong but this feels like a pilot movie for a series (a return of jafar if you will) thats why they had king kong live to maybe get picked up for a series.

I remember renting this movie at blockbuster back in circa 2005 and yet this adaptation of King Kong looks awful especially the ending where he lives! so I'm going to stick with the original classic and the remake directed by Peter Jackson!
