Carbon taxing is too tame of a solution. We need a complete systematic transformation to zero carbon.

Actually, the Green Party looked at this issue of the tax and instead of an AOC carbon tax and fed congressional committee making decisions, the Greens have called for a true, everybody in energy fee and dividend. The dividend goes to everyone equally as citizens. It allows the ones who don't believe in the change to continue while those who conserve as citizens get the equal dividend which can be used to reduce fossil fuel use. In order to get effective work the fee according to the graphs from Scientists Warning of A Climate Emergency, graphs l. and n., the level at which change in carbon emissions take place is at about $85 a ton. That's where we need to start. Some will make changes faster than others. Sweden imposed a $120 a ton carbon tax and with the command and control government has only seen a 15% reduction.
