Collapsed Glass vs Failed Window Seals

Another subset of failed seals you may find worthy of note - low e coating corrosion/failure. I've only seen this a few times. It's a mottled look, like failed exterior paint, but kind of metallic. I understand the low e coating contains vaporized metal of some kind. In my opinion, failed seals with permanent fogging goes beyond cosmetic, as the window is failing to function as intended. Thanks for mentioning the standards, I used a disclaimer regarding current conditions in every report that included multiple pane windows.

I like this video. We have now had 4 windows implode due to collapsed glass. The failures occurred on the outer pane of triple pane windows. The windows showed signs of extreme collapsed glass prior to failure. Collapsed glass is not only a cosmetic condition as it can become dangerous when the window implodes.

What I'm looking for is the cost of replacing the window itself. I've made an offer on a floating home, and one of the window's seals is failing. How do I go about determining the cost?

What do you say about windows that appear to be etched from the outside? They have all different colors in them like oil on wet concrete or something
