Details! ▼
I had a customer who wanted some tables to go with his Adirondack chairs and this was the result! This is kind of a classic design, but I modified the table to pair up with my popular Adirondack chair design with classy overhangs and nice rounded corners. These are built the same as my chairs - with clear grain western red cedar, stainless steel screws, and a spar urethane finish.

I just watched several of your videos back to back. Aside from your fine skill as a carpenter you also have excellent taste in music. All of the accompanying musical tracks complemented the videos perfectly. Nice to see craftsmen with a good ear for music too.

I make stools based on this design with my students, but we use screws or bolts at the hinge points. I like the way you used dowels at these points, especially the one that creates the carry handle. Nice job.

You are an inspiration brother! Love what you do and the style you use to push your content to the masses! Keep up the good work! I watch all the same makers you do, I can see their influence in your style, but you have that extra moxie they seem to lack and that has me coming back for more!

Hey Paul, My father-in-law has some tables like this, similar mechanism but not quite the full on Adirondack style. It's hard not to like them: fold up to get out of the way, just big enough when opened up to hold your plate and glass at big family Sunday dinners on the patio. Really looking forward to what you produce from your new DC area shop!

I've heard of pounding the tunes, but you banged this out in an awesome manner. Great pairing of music to a fast paced but still clear project/process video. I need two beers and some time in the shade after that one.

So I got a cool idea the next time you use that big circular sander with the digital gauge on it. Have a rocky montage, like when drago was punching the bag and it showed the strength. You're creative, I'm sure you can think of something bad a$$

I really like your videos. They're short, but get across pretty well what you're doing at each step, and all without a voice over. I've only released one video on my channel so far but it's drastically longer than yours, I guess I just need to be more liberal with what I leave on the cutting room floor! Either way, keep up the great work! You're an inspiration for me man!

How does the spar urethane hold up on cedar? I never really considered that an option on cedar. Guess I missed that on the chair build. I like the sock over glove application process. I think using it as a wipe-on seems a lot less scary than trying to brush it.
@JackmanWorks
@JackmanWorks 7 жыл бұрын
It's held up great for me. I use it on all the chairs too and been surprised how well it holds up, does a great job keeping the cedar from graying

What is the height of the table when completed. Would love to buy the plans but don't want to spend the money if it's too small and as a newbie woodworker I am not sure how to significantly alter the plans to achieve the height I want. Thanks!

Why did i read "collapsible folding Adirondack chairs", and kept being baffled throughout half the video by something that looked nothing like a chair? Guess i'm tired.. Still, saw some of your other videos every now and then, but only after watching this one i realized i'm not actually subscribed to you. Which was now fixed. So, subscribe - done. Comment - done.. There were three things to do, though.. Ah, well, guess i'll have to watch the video again, to see what the third was..
