Sweet collection(dabbling) you got there I have some old antique lighters in storage some are oxidized on/in the flint tube like you stated.

Thanks. You might consider getting them and removing the flint. Depending on what kind of lighter it can really mess them up when the flint oxidizes. Thank you for watching and commenting.

Nice! I've got a Beattie (courtesy or Onion!), but now the jet must be clogged. I have an original box that I thought had the tiny wire to clean out the jet, but I'll be danged if I can't find it.

Remove the cotton and make sure the wick goes up into the Jet tube. Push it in until it stops then pull some back out. You don’t want it all the way to the jet port. Then soak the wick by putting lighter fluid directly on the wick. Might want to put some fluid on as you insert it into the tube. Replace the cotton and add lighter fluid. Strike and tilt so the flame is touching the jet tube. Give it a second then tilt forward. Hopefully the jet will appear. The biggest mistake people make with this lighter is not making sure the wick is up in the tube and is wet with fluid. If that doesn’t work, then it very well. Could be blocked at the port. How awesome is that lighter with the wheel on it, man they are so expensive though - I will stick with my mid range old boy and Julius and admire from afar for now.
