Think modern/reprints is what a lot of people are getting into because of how expensive retro 1st ed or most expensive rarity is getting. Its a cool way to get cards you like within whatever budget works for you 🤙🏼

It's great to see a collector that shares my point of view on collecting Yu-Gi-Oh... Personally collects all cards I like...reasons are usually artwork or just think the archetype is cool or cute :D Not everything needs to be just about the monetary value and PSA 10s (I am not a big fan of graded cards anyway :D ) ... Bought some IOC 1st Edition BLS and DMOC in sleeve they look like mint but in reality they are more light played on back side and BLS had some peble on top (I know still kinda expensive, but the point is that not everyone is hunting only for gem mints and what not)... Also love OCG cards (mostly due to card quality and I always had something for japanese language :P)

My secondary collection goals are Zexal/Arc V ultis/ghosts/sealed! I'm getting close to finishing this up tho, so it's time to find another collecting outlet... Starlights are on my list but the good ones are bloody expensive lol

I mostly collect other cards, but I do have a decent Yugioh collection due to my brother playing/collecting the game when he was a kid... 1st ed. PSV Jinzo, 1st ed. LOB Gaia, 1st ed. LOB Dark Magician, etc. (all pack pulled when he was a kid and luckily he never played with most of them)... The majority of Yugioh collectors I just don't understand. The whole "max rarity" over original printing just doesn't compute in my brain. Anyway, I really enjoyed the video and hearing you talk about the cards; the card quality issues for that set, whether the card is the original printing, price differential between the OG print and the max rarity, etc... not the kind of information I've seen anyone presenting on KZbin... and I actually have watched a fair bit of Yugioh content. Your opinion/feelings on the card was cool to hear as well. Subscribed.

I once ordered a Serpent night dragon unlimited and received a first edition too, maybe it was the same seller. I'd be so pumped to see a Gate guardian collector rare, one of my favorite cards!

I play in tournaments but I do buy cards from my childhood like a original ghost rare darkarmed dragon from phantom darkness or things of that nature. Love the end of anubis that was my fav card back wen I was just starting out him and invader from darkness

nice collection I love it, besides the topic of the ghost rares, I am just disappointed that they have less to no layers at all making them look really nice 3d as the old og ghost rares, for example look at astareater, the card literally looking as its getting out of the card ^^ So all hate, probably just coming from the disappointment of feeling like Konami was trying to cheap out on the ghost rares compared to the old ones and not paying really love into creating these as much as they would have deserved.

I only collect Vintage OG print unlim cant do modern especially with the new card stock and text it feels awful

It’s funny how we have exactly opposite opinions on modern. I think collector rares are awful, and GFTP2 is, for me, the most disappointing set in my time collecting. However, starlight stardust? That thing is a work of art lol. Blows the ultimate out of the water. You should look into speed duel cards. The secret rares look amazing, and they’re like $1 each

Different strokes for different folks I suppose. I actually like speed duels as a board game type activity that I sometime play with guys in my office, so I have seen a lot of the secret rare promos. They are awesome and very cheap.

I just dont like the new ghost rare because they are missing the 3d effect. They gave us the world with those awesome 3d ghost rares and then they threw this in our faces and told us we wont have any more 3d ghost rares

I really want to be excited about modern ghost rares, but they just look so dead and flat. I remember receiving my ghost red dragon archfiend and being disappointed at how it looked. It goes well with my other singer dragon ghost rares so I guess there's one positive.

I really think they look good, but I understand your point. The main problem for me was how overloaded and overprinted GFTP2 was -- in combination with the increased ghost rare pull rates. It makes the ghost rare rarity feel less like a premium rarity.

The issue with Ghosts from the Past 2 is there are a ton of poor quality control Ghosts... It's not just a few here and there... A lot are damaged
