I took a train 250 miles south and attempt to drive my newly aquired Ford Cortina P100 1.6 pinto all the way home.

Looks pretty sound despite the ' patination ' !.Had a red MK V1 estate - brilliantly reliable - well worth restoring - old Fords never die !.

The paint looks better in the flesh, it wouldn't be my first choice if I was paying for a paint job.

I've also got a P100 my dad bought new in 83 A reg needs doing, sunburst red L model needs restoration I'm a panel beater by trade but have lots of other projects Good luck with yours definitely bring it back up to normal height, & put proper tyres on it 👍

I’m actually jealous, I’ve been looking for a p100 to buy for a while and keep missing them , that old truck will look after you I’m sure with a little love 😜 I pissed myself laughing when you revved it after the exhaust fell of that grin on your face you can’t take boy out of the man that’s for sure . If anyone has one reading this I’m interested

Tidy up the paint (brush job?) to original colour and put it back to standard. Set of steel wheels likely easy to source Surely worth a lot more that way too

@julianlangdon3456 if I was going to get it painted, I would have gone for original. But I didn't pay for the paint job, I do have £9600 of receipts for body work and paint though.
