According to numista at 14:04 it is merchant coinage of a hapeny from 1809/1810. Brutus is on the front and it's from the British copper company

Many thanks Paul, Hope you have a great Christmas. I've been using the Penny and Halfpenny Varieties site (these are both superb - puts my shoestring modest collection in perspective and are continually added !) , along with the British Bronze Penny (with Mr G's updates) and The Identification of British 20th Century Bronze Coin Varieties (I use these more than Mr Freeman's book as they have better illustrations). No narrow date 1877 , but I have found a lot of varieties - latest was a rare halfpenny - so well done in keeping hold of the "spare" pennies !

When I was young I knew an old lady who had collected ‘bun’ pennies for decades. When she got one, she put it into a sweetie jar of the type that used to be seen in shops. She had more than one of them. When decimalisation came in February 71, she panicked and paid them all into the bank. I hope some lucky bank teller realised their potential.
