My goodness JP and the boys it’s good to see you back out diving I just love seeing you guys enjoying yourself again it was a really enjoyable video like all of them are the weather must’ve been really horrendous for you boys not to be going out what time of the year is it there for you guys? Is it spring winter Definitely not summer because right now where I’m at it’s winter going in the spring.❤❤❤❤

Hi Grace. The season is winter still but living on Guernsey we do get every season in one day sometimes. Can be raining AM and strong winds and sunny with no wind by PM. Being on a small rock in the middle of the English Channel can be hard sometimes. Fingers crossed the days will start to drag out now. Sun up at 7:30 and down by 5 pm at the moment 😢. Mats now a full time Commercial scalloper now so it’s been very hard for him unfortunately. 👍🏻😁👍🏻 hope your keeping well ?

Great trip out JP whenever I see a lobster my immediate thoughts turn to sweet chilli sauce and Guernsey butter must be Jays influence 😉 stay safe

😂😂 Jays cholesterol must be sky high with Butter and Lobster being very high in cholesterol as-well. My wife always ask why I didn’t bring it home. I told her everything under water looks bigger and that one was tiny 😂👍🏻 stay safe too mate

Thanks for coming Darrell. Minus 20 sounds like a bad day diving for me. Being cracked back out my suit after I froze to death 😂. Hope the weather improves for you soon and get back until the water again mate 👍🏻😁👍🏻

It was very impressive and haven’t seen it like that for some time. It’s all to do with the weather and temperature I’m sure. 👍🏻🤪👍🏻 it certainly hasn’t poisoned me 😂😂 yet

I love scallops but now I have a new fondness for white horses running past the harbor mouth.
@scubadive

I love to see both but not at the same time 😁. With an almost unlimited amount of scallops available to take home and eat I very rarely do as they are such a rich tasting food. They should only be eaten on special occasion for me. 👍🏻😁👍🏻

Dry gloves, even at 9C they will make your diving so much more easy but if you have amazing circulation no problem and respect to you all. Hi JP Out of interest have you or any of the boys had to use there pony bottle backup systems on a dive? Cheers J ace vid

Hi John. I only get cold hands on the surface. The scallops can be sharp and only guessing they wouldn’t stay dry for long. I have had to use my pony a few times. Once from 43 m after my octo 2nd stage ruptured due to damage probably from someone standing on it on the deck of the boat. Pony got me out a pickle then, and we do use it to inflate lift bags so the air is used and topped up from time to time. 👍🏻😁👍🏻 we have a rule on the boat that you should be as self sufficient as possible.

Absolutely right regarding self reliant , thanks for your reply. 43m and no air not good and scary. @@scubadive

You seem to be more interested in bottles than the scallops! You also passed a ton of scallops, why they were not all to small? What is up with that???😮😢
@scubadive
@scubadive 10 ай бұрын
Your correct I did leave a ton as they are either too small or empty shells. Scallops are 80 pence each and a bottle is around £300 pounds each. I have never sold a bottle and are very nice objects and very rare given that they could even be from the late 1700’.s The area outside the harbour is a hot spot for bottle so in this location it’s well worth stopping to have a look. Thanks for asking the question 👍🏻😁👍🏻

That starfish that was half juvenile half adult kind of reminded me from the guy from Deadpool. I don’t know if you saw that movie was kind of a stupid marvel. Movie guy is kind of weird.😂😂😂😂😂😂
