Thank-you for that very interesting! I took a closer look at my Father's (Hardy Bros Alnwick) Salmon Reel. A Super silex pat j55494 size 4n. Can you enlighten me as to the purpose of the Red Carbouchon in the centre of the exterior pin? The internal mechanism is surprisingly complex.
