I would wait and keep checking BestBuy, WalMart, and Futureshop - it is usually the major chains that offer the deals because they can then budget easily

I have a funny story about the Zelda 3DS. It actually ties in to your tip from way long ago about befriending game store employees. I started working at Walmart 5 years ago, and across the street from our store is a GameStop. Pretty often, during lunch, I'd go over and take a look at some of the games they have, their pre-owned stuff, yo get the deal. In 2011, I was finally ready to get a 3DS. It was at a good price, and I wanted a couple of the games. So, I went over to GameStop that night after work and asked about the pre-owned ones. The lady working at the counter was like "Well, I have one in the back you might like." She went to the back, and brought out a little white box, just like all the other pre-owned products, and inside was a near perfect condition Zelda 3DS. (Don't forget, at this time, these had just come out.) She told me it was normal pe-owned price, and I bought it instantly. Now it's in the hands of my sister, who is a Zelda freak. I personally am not, I kinda wanted it just because of the colors, but I gave it to my sister for her birthday that March. So, he's not lying. Be a nice person, be polite, and you'll have an awesome experience.

I pre-ordered 37 games through Future Shop and both systems through Best Buy. I've been doing it for the past few years, it's really a great deal.

It is tough to tell. Earthbound was just released on the WiiU and the version for the SNES has maintained its value

I would suggest to everyone to check for pre-order deals in your own country as this deal was apparently exclusive to Canada.

Ya sorry I did not realize this might be exclusive to Canada. I would check with Best Buy and other chain stores to see if they have a similar promotion

I picked up a copy of the wind waker with the ocarina of time, it was in mint condition and only cost £8!!

I think you bring up a good point - but Nintendo games are repeatedly, time after time, 8 / 10 and better games. They are pretty much guaranteed to be outstanding games (which I would only pre order when I feel guaranteed that the game will be good). On a new IP, it is definitely more risky

I think the combo sets are an excellent idea. I would wait for a combo set myself if I did not already have a WiiU

That is insane. Not fair at all. Europe gets screwed on pricing too, but the cost of living there is higher with higher incomes too

I think it is cool to see how much the game was originally, but I find them annoying. I remove all stickers from my new games. I think each collector has their own preference.

I think it will be a good collector's edition set, but not worth as much as Super Mario All Stars Wii. I am keeping mine in great shape too

I love your tips! I recently preordered Shin Megami Tensei IV for the 3DS. It is my first preorder ever as I tend to wait a long time before getting games. The first print run comes with a guide, a music disc and a slip case. I really hope Walmart doesn't mess this up. The big downside is that the earliest estimated date that I would receive it is 8 days after release. Fucking mental considering I live in the states. As long as I get everything it will be worth it though.

Sometimes Gamestop here in Germany has great pre-order deals too... But in other stores it is very difficult to happen.

Gamestop is the place to go to when per-ordering games. They almost always have something extra that comes with the item you're buying. Not to say other places don't
