Great to hear about your love of books and the way you matched them with tarot and oracle. I definitely think Eliot's aquiline profile fit the Hierophant card in the Cosmic Tarot you chose. Very funny, as I always thought he was a dry old stick despite his 'bold' experiments with form. Plus I suspect he knew next to nothing about tarot but used the little he did to create the infamous Madame Sosostris. When I was studying Eliot back as a student my daughter and I used to sticker the house with lines from the Wasteland and Prufrock. Curious Creatures weirdly fits Vonnegut although who would have thought?! Was your Palestinian poet Marmoud Darwish? Love his line quoted by Edward Said in After the Last Sky. Thanks for sharing these treasures.

Thank you thank you for commenting! Eliot as a dry old stick - I strangely love that! And yes, the Palestinian poet is Darwish; his work is astounding!

This was wonderful. This is exactly why I love people talking about collections because it’s always things they adore and have fascination with and that always comes across. Hearing your passion for the writing and these books was a treat so thank you so much for joining in the tag ❤

This was excellent! I love Mahmoud Darwish though I fall more into the Virginia Woolf/James Joyce modernist camp. 💜

@@NicoleACottageWitch I love hearing from people who enjoy Darwish; I wish his work was more known. And I also love the Joyce and Woolf. The whole modernist movement makes my souls sing (and also rock back and forth in fetal position while sobbing 😂😂)

We need a sequel! Fabulous books. It's been years since I sat in literature classes in college, so I've forgotten more of the 'classics' than I remember. 😂 But, one novel we had to read still makes me emotional when I think about it...Native Son by Richard Wright.

Thanks! I haven’t read Native Son, but I have heard of it. I’m adding to my fall reading list!
