Collective Soul: Here To Eternity album review

Idk why but Sister and Mary is one of the songs on here I revisited the most. Has such a happy Beatles vibe. There’s no such thing as a bad CS album but this is definitely ranks lower in comparison to their 93-2015 works. When Mother’s Love was shown as the first single, I knew right then and there that we were probably getting a very meh album. I like the song but it sounds like a B-side to all their much better lead singles in the past (pre-Blood album). These guys haven’t been great with these last few albums and I’m worried we’ll never get an album with interesting heavy guitar work like we did those first 2 decades.

I wish the mix was better. If you put on headphones and compare this album with Dosage, or the self titled album, you will hear much clearer and crisper, edgier mix! The mix on this new album is muddy, and can also be turned up a LOT more.

That's a very good point. I think this album feels alot more blunt than those older albums

It is definitely a quiet album. Shoot I just seen them live about a week ago and they were extremely quite compared to how they usually sound. Could’ve been the venue though but it was so disappointing :(
