Every time you get to see beautiful and interesting card designs from over the years you realize how god awful the Panini monopoly is.

I'm mostly into baseball,so I stay far away from Panini, especially now that they lost the MLBPA license and now have to stick to prospects and retired players. But I did used to like Diamond Kings because it was a cheapish way to chase legendary relics. And I always like Stars and Stripes because you get some great players first-ever auto cards in that. And although it was near impossible to get close to value back from it, Donruss Baseball was always a fun box to open.

if you ask me, panini is officialy cashgrab and yeah some card designs are pretty good, but the love for their product and the relationship to their customers is way worse than that from companies of the 90´s when i remember the different eventcards you can get in the cheaper products, for meeting your idol, create your own card, becket was the standalone source to get a good overview and mostly prices....miss that times

The crazy thing is if he’s been collecting for a while, 10-15 years ago you could’ve gotten this whole collection for the price of the highest card. Kind of making that up but it’s not far off. Oh to have that time machine

Honestly, best move collecting wise is to go to that day Topps dumped thousands of boxes of 52 Topps in the ocean. Grab a pallet or 20. I'm sure if you showed up and slipped some guy a $20 (make sure to have appropriate currency before time travelling!!!) he would "look the other way" as he laughed about the moron buying junk. But on a personal level, I would go back to tell my younger self to send in cards to that new company, PSA. I definitely used to have cards that were in, to my eye, perfect condition that are worth thousands and even tens of thousands. I also one time grabbed two packs out of a cart full of clearance packs at Wal-Mart. There had to be at least 200 packs in there, and every single one was either 2018 Topps Series 2 or 2018 Topps Update. I would like to fix that if I could.

Absolutely wild to carry a collection like this around with him at a show!! I guess if you're a big time dealer you get used to carrying millions around with you from one show to the next, but I'd imagine just this case is worth more than the majority of dealer booths at any given show.

Very cool idea for a High Rollers video. MJ was the obvious choice to do this type of video but I would also like to see similar videos for Kobe, Lebron, Tom Brady, and whatever baseball players that would make interesting videos lime Mickey Mantle, and Mike Trout Idk how possible that would be though without people with amazing collections reaching out

Josh Dawson is the lucky owner of those, I've seen him on a KZbin Jordan channel showing all these. He was just like all of us who collected cards back in the 90s but he was smart and bought all the rare ones. Even the crazy expensive ones you see now we're only bought for a couple hundred bucks back then by him. I think he said almost all of his expensive Jordans were bought over 25 years ago when they were very inexpensive

Jesus the amount of hate on these cards and video is wild. Imagine saying in 1935 “Don’t get why Honus Wagner cards are so expensive because there is a limit print run and it’s not even his rookie” The 90s were the last and only time card companies were doing anything new and innovative unlike today’s money grabs. Also some of those inserts are likely true 1/1s vs how many fleer rookies? Amazing video, more of these would be great if you run into the opportunity to do more!

This is a really fun video and maybe, if a Brady or LeBron or Mahomes (etc) wanted to share their collections with you, you could do a similar video again! One comment about the cards themselves (or I guess the slabs)...almost all (if not all) of these slabs had scuffing on the front from those TERRIBLE perfect fit PSA sleeves. PSA and card collectors need to stop using these. They leave weird scuffs on slabs. I know we are buying the card and not the slab but when you have a 200K card and you pay a premium to get it graded, few things are as annoying as PSA scuffing up the case.
