Why trilogy? It's the fourth Game. 1. Famicom Detective Club: The Missing Heir (1988) 2. Famicom Detective Club Part II: The Girl Who Stands Behind (1989) 3. BS Detective Club: Lost Memories in the Snow (1997)

After years of people calling Nintendo "kiddy," and Switch a "baby toy," (dude they should see how hardcore creepy some Kirby final bosses are) it's actually nice to see a new potential M-rated horror franchise from Nintendo. Also, people forget Nintendo systems have had just as many T or M rated games as other systems sense the N64 era. (Even Gameboy Color had T rated horror games on it.) Not to mention, Nintendo published games like Eternal Darkness, Conker, and Bayonetta. Also, debatably like I mentioned, even their family friendly games have some surprisingly dark, or violent moments. Ask any kid who grew up with Zelda how they feel about Redeads? Those things, and their sounds alone give monsters from Resident Evil a run for their money, and they don't even need a crutch of being covered in gore.
