@@thediegosoto weighted on 4.0 scale. A+ is 4.3, A is 4.0, A- is 3.7. no weight for honors but weighted for ap classes

Congratulations! So glad you chose Stanford, I am doing a PhD in NLP, and Stanford is the top school for anything related to applied linguistics, good luck! Really great choice. Also, EA Harvard is crazy, do not think I ever saw anyone getting in early.

@@evitao6570 something i've noticed with stanford is that they really value you having projects and not only taking part in activities that pertain to your interest, but leading them and finding your own way to contribute to the world. grades are important, but try to be innovative and make an impact on the community. it doesn't matter if you don't reach hundreds of thousands of people, but just committing time into something you're passionate about will definitely help you not only get in but know yourself more as a person

Did you go to Boston Latin? Similar to going to Hunter College High school in NYC?

Yeah I went to Boston Latin. From what I read online it's similar to Hunter. It's a public school, and I took an exam in 6th grade called the ISEE to get in. I think the top 600 of test takes get accepted.

@@yaboyb1527 You are similar to Stuyvesant in NYC 800 get in ? Why did you choose Stanford over Harvard, Princeton, and University of Pennsylvania? I know Boston Latin is a feeder school for Harvard, but not for the other school's. So why did you pick Stanford over the others? Financial package?

@@MrBjorn6 Financial was a very big reason. UPenn was incredibly expensive so I didn't even consider that. Harvard also but still an amount that I could pay. Princeton was the cheapest for me, but I really liked Stanford's atmosphere and it is amazing for what I want to do (Symbolic Systems).
