When you get deferred can you resubmit your application or you just have to wait until you get accepted from deferred if you apply early action?

You just have to wait, u can send a Letter of Continued Interest which could increase your chances of getting in

@@talhairfan8338 Thanks! I got the LAC scholarship, which is for Latinos and Caribbeans, it basically gives us In-state tuition but I think people from other countries also get similar scholarships that compensate for that amount

Use it to find the right words for what u want to put on your essays. I’d always copy and paste my essays to Chat GPT and prompt it like “make this UT Austin essay more understandable” or “better” and stuff like that, but don’t ask for an essay from scratch cuz there’s no personality coming from Chat GPT

How were you able to get in-state tuition for UF and GSU?

I got in-state tuition for USF (which I’m attending) and GSU, I’d say it’s because of my 1460 SAT, these are big state schools with mid to high acceptance rates so they’re not as picky about essays, USF doesn’t even read personal statements. They put more importance to academics and maybe the extracurricular activities list

How many colleges do you recommend applying to?

You can look up videos on different approaches to how many colleges to apply, but you should probably have safeties, reach, and dream schools. In my case I just made sure I could have a chance of getting in to every college I applied to and got financial aid

Yes, except for UCF, they told me it was smoother for them through their portal

Ofc! Most of those Florida public schools care about your stats more than anything in my opinion, at least as an international student. For U Miami you’re even more likely to get accepted if you have the money but if you’re outstanding they’ll probably be generous with their premiere and presidential scholarships. Make sure you apply Early Action too

I translated my Costa Rican grades with ECE services and it was a 3.9 GPA, only used it for UMiami and FSU tho, most universities used my grades the way I sent them (in Spanish and on a 0-100 scale)
