I am debating whether to choose Purdue or IUB for Psychology. They are both financially equivalent but I’m wondering which is better. Which college is better for psychology? Will I get bored at Purdue since you’ve mentioned that it’s in the middle of nowhere? I’m having a hard time choosing. Any suggestions or recommendations.

I'd say both schools are similarly strong in their psychology departments. You probably couldn't go wrong at either school! I'd say even though Purdue is in the middle of nowhere, there's still plenty to occupy your time on and off campus. Same thing can be said at IU (although Bloomington might be a better college town 🤭🤭). At this point, choose the college you vibe with better/ see yourself having more fun at. If you haven't visited, try to reach out to current students at either school! Hope this helps a little!

Hey, I'm also a student living in an apartment "dorm" through the university. For my apartment I have to check out and move out like the actual dorms, and I'm sure the other university apartments are the same. As for the chances of getting an apartment, I'm not sure exactly the likelihood but I've heard of freshman being placed in all 3 apartment complexes so if you put that you want an apartment high on your contract there's probably a good chance you'll get one. You can renew your housing contract every year and stay in your same room if you want, unless they use your building for learning communities or something and you get displaced. Personally, my apartment building is being leased by the university for students so I was able to renew for next year but I doubt it'll be available the year after for on campus housing if that makes sense. Sorry for the long answer lol but hope it helps.

Hey dude, I got accepted into purdue but I'm not quite sure if I will attend because of the current situation in the states with the corona stuff. I'm assuming you're doing online learning right now? Also, if I were to attend Purdue and do online learning, would that kinda ruin the "college experienece", like meeting people, attending events, etc.

Hey! I’m a rising Senior from Franklin, Massachusetts and recently toured Purdue, as well as many other Big 10 schools. Based off my grades and SAT (Knock on wood) I’m assuming I can get into Purdue as well as many other of the big 10 schools. other schools I enjoyed were Wisconsin, Minnesota, And michigan state. As of right now I think Purdue has been my favorite. I’m hoping I can get in and i’ve constantly been watching your videos. Be prepared for the occasional roast from a midwesterner for bundling up too much....jk. Wear layers, Get a nice winter coat, snow-boots, gloves, and you should be set!

Hey! I am a student unsure on if I want to go to Purdue but I have a question about the apartment housing you are in/ones like it. Is there a way to choose to be in this type of housing and how much of an increase In price would it be for apartment-style housing?

Your freshman year you can rank your housing preferences, so it's not unfortunately guaranteed that you get your first choice of housing. On the plus side, the apartment I was in actually similarly priced to the rest of the dorms!

Location wise it's 1 hour from Indianapolis and 2 hours from Chicago, so it's not ideal, but I've never found a shortage of things to do on campus. It's definitely what you make of it though! I highly recommend joining clubs and student orgs since many of them organize social events and trips!
