"a list" to get into a frat party is just so f'ing funny...that's the least fun, chill thing you can do for a good college party. Also hilarious that a kegger put in by teens is trying to be exclusive. Learn how to let loose guys.

I’m gonna mansplain now so go get your little truth helmet…Engineering is male dominated because men are generally better at math 😅 You are preachy and virtue signal. You’re not better / more moral than your peers-you just don’t see it.

Thank you so much for the video! It was an amazing one! So, from what I have been told so far about PU that it is very difficult and challenging. Is it for the top students only? How do students survive there? It is been so many years since I graduated from high school and I plan to go to PU for my electrical engineering (BS)

The one thing I will say about Purdue, is that it has a vast greek life. Some of the fraternities and sororities are huge. I never had an issue finding a fraternity party to get into, so I can't speak to the exclusiveness as I partied on the hill, fraternity row, etc. I will say by the time you're freshmen year is over, the apartment parties are much better to go to. Then by the time you're a junior/senior you end up going to the bars. When I visited other campuses from SDSU to College Station to the University of Florida, I didn't see as many houses and some colleges just had normal-looking houses with greek letters. Purdue dedicates a lot of land to greek housing. The dorm situation is true, but those dorms were built a long time ago and hopefully one day they will build more updated dorms that can compete with other colleges. The one thing I definitely hated was how apathetic everyone is at Purdue. Seriously I have no idea why it hasn't changed. They care more about football and men's basketball than any kind of social activism. It's like they just live in their own Purdue bubble. Speaking of tradition, I don't know if the guys at Cary still do it, but they run naked in the quad on the coldest night in winter.

So amazing to hear about the low social activism. Another win for Purdue for my children!
@manporo58653 ай бұрын
@@christinal3106 kinda the opposite really. The reason Purdue never showed up in the news over the Gaza war protests is because Purdue is very much pro social activism. At least for the last 10 or so years as far as I could recall. Only big issue was Mitch Daniels just saying the most bat shit crazy things imaginable.

Hello! 2017 Alumna here, just want to add another comment/perspective on the party scene. Yes parties can be exclusive ( I found any of the big greek houses) are much more exclusive and harder to get in. There are other non-greek house parties like he mentioned that you can attend but another option are parties hosted by the MGC or NPHC greeks. During my time on campus I personally had more fun at those parties than I did at the bigger greek houses, in the end I became a sister of one of the MGC sororities. I don't know how much has changed since I graduated but similar to house parties - it's usually word of mouth & getting the address.

You remind me of myself in my 20s, I'll save you a lot of time and suffering...find out and experience what it means to be "born again" - repent, baptized, receive Holy Spirit. Until you do this you will chase after things in the world to find peace/love/joy but it won't last, you will eventually find yourself lonely and empty no matter how successful you become until God reveals Himself to you. FYI I went to Purdue class 05...greetings from Chicago :) kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4Wxl5aFjc2Ioac

As a Purdue graduate, these things never bothered me. I was not in a frat but I went to parties there, but also could care less to go to those parties. If you are a parent some of the campus rules are totally cool. Never felt the preassure of not being an engineer. Also, don't know why you care about the Greek system so much. Always look back and have enjoyed my Purdue experience. The bike tradition must be fairly new. We used to go through the Engineering fountain or the one by English department.
